Sorry man. I’m not even going to entertain this discussion.
Exactly... tell me what country in Africa do you come from or your ancestors are from? What was your African name... did your great great grandparents talk about Africa to your great grandparent and did they pass that knowledge on to you grandparent and did your grandparent pass that knowledge to your parents? To run around and call yourself African American and you don't have that information than you would foolish... you still letting Europeans tell you your history and where you come from smh

Stop bickering about bull sh*t... comment on what you saw on the video and build from there. All that other stuff is counterproductive; take that negative energy to 4chan or those other sites that foster hate and racism.

No we are not on the same page. My reasoning is completely different from yours.

I donít refer to myself as African American because it is incorrect to a*sign race to a nationality. I will only refer to my race as black. If you ask me my nationality, I would say I am Haitian-American, or that I am an American of Haitian descent.

I know what homie is referring to.

I'm black. Both my grandmothers had Native American genes. What people forget is native Americans were BLACK as well.

There were black people here before the white man chained us up and sent some more on a boat. We already had history here. Not that there is anything wrong with coming from Africa. But theres always this narrative that all black peoples past are rooted in slavery and despair.

This my mf country

What I'm saying is you know nothing about your history prior to slave ships. Who told you was an African? Was it not the same people that enslaved us and miseducated us and kept us illiterate? The term "African american" didnt even become popular till 1980s.... before that they just called us black...colored....negro....

The Cape Verde archipelago was uninhabited when the Portuguese discovered it in 1456. The modern population of Cape Verde descends from the mixture of European settlers and African slaves who were brought to the islands to work on Portuguese plantations. Most Cape Verdeans are therefore mulattos, also called mestiÁos in Portuguese. Another term is creole, meaning those of mixed native-born African and native-born European descent.

You can just trace your family tree and most likely find your relatives.

My mother in-law was able to trace her ancestors back to a plantation in Mississipi using government records and ancestry.com

They also have thousands of ship logs recording the transport of slaves.

Didnít mean to slap but this is true majority are of Native American decent the reason they want everyone from Africa is because if we knew we were native Americans we would f*ght for land instead of equal rights we would skip that and go straight to this is ours thatís what they scared of
