For those who may be thinking about joining, video kinda gives you an idea of what your getting into.

Best decision I ever made when I graduated HS in 98'. But hey it's not for everyone
You about 40 and retired then..

I wish I wouldve joined, my boy is in the Air Force and he been all over the world

Damn I didn't know that statistic. I gotta do some more research on that.
Yup, basically 95% of the military will never see combat....I worked in medical and deployed ppl to Dubai, dudes was over there chilllin living the IG thot life on govt dime lol.....

Think of the military system as a private organization just like the civilian world with extra perks and bullsh*t. You are being paid to keep a machine running.

Can it still be transferred even if they’re deceased? My old man passed in 2000
Damn. My condolences, man. Was he enrolled with the VA system? If not you’ll need to contact them.

I can only imagine. I managed to escape Leonard Wood, Missouri, just as winter was about to start. I was there from June to November. There was no transition weather whatsoever. It went from being hot as hell in August and September-- like 100+ degrees most days -- to 40 degrees on a regular once we hit October. Morning PT was a bi*ch then. Stringer Bell talking about nobody giving a fu*k about a 40 degree day. sh*t, we were LOL.

The end of cycle FTX was miserable as hell at night. fu*k trying to sleep while freezing your balls off. On the plus side, at least we didn't have to deal with snakes and insects.

I had to drop that little known fact on prospects all the time when I was a recruiter. The Army has over 250 jobs, and only like 11 of them are combat related. 11 out of 250 -- that's less than 5 percent.

I reclassed to a new MOS 9 months before deployment. I went from 25B to 25U. I got my E5 from it. All my 25B boys had the life in Iraq. I played myself and got put as a vehicle commander on a retrans team. Luckily after a few months I got off missions and went back to the commo shop. Most the cats I deployed with never left Camp Taji. You are speaking wise words. So many jobs out there that are not combat related.

I got my 501 tatted there too Bruh! Small world ain’t it mane. Say, remember that park everybody used to go to get fu*ked up? The homie had a uc Crown Vic from auction with the flood light and bullhorn still on it. We had folks scattering like roaches throwing liquor/beer when we slammed up screaming sh*t on the bullhorn and putting that light on they a*s!

God was on our bond though because we used to go to the projects out there like sh*t was sweet fu*king with they women out there. Me and three other cats got into some sh*t with some super crips one night. That’s when we knew country Wichita Falls was just like the crib in some parts.

I came in as a nasty girl. I enlisted for the college experience. In retrospect, I wish I would have went active duty straight from the jump. I ended up not finishing college until I was 28 anyway.

I had a chance to join the air Force but I opted out for the US army at the last minute. Bro, y'all actually had decent looking women and at a much better ratio too.... And as you already know, the work out facilities and barracks were much better too. To top it all off I bought a piece of shyt used car with my bonus money that my roommate crashed the week after the insurance expired.
All facts! And thats not just me reppin either. I was almost Navy. My mom worked on a NAS so we had a lot of family friends in the Navy, most older cats too. They ALL said join the Air Force for the exact reasons you said. So I said fu*k it. Coincidentally, my homie crashed my new whip on the autobahn that I also paid for with my bonus.

Props my dude!

fakeass hotep clown. you can't even articulate and argument and on top of that are too damn ignorant to see the benefits that can be extracted from US military training, some of the best training in the world for nationhood and defense to be used for the pro black clause.

You dumb n*ggas this you are pro black, meanwhile many of the most prominent black leaders of the civil rights era were military veterans!

You are a dumbass.

I have never used the word “Hotep” to greet a Black man or woman in my life! LOL I don’t even follow the “so-called” ‘Conscious Community!” I don’t have to argue with random people online. Are you crazy? What good is going to serve me to go back and forth with some troll that I can even see or reach out too? But I will take five minutes to “Ether” you.

You’re in the US Military or have been so you are a pawn or once were a pawn in the US Military Industrial Complex. You were off f*ghting wars against other impoverished people of color for Uncle Sam who sticks it to the Black man here in the Homeland. I have several members of my family in the military. It’s a social welfare program.

Most of them come from impoverished areas and trade jobs and manufacturing jobs are scarce and none of them can do a windmill dunk or run a 4.4 40 so joining the military was the best solution versus living in the ghetto. Many of the most prominent Black leaders of the Civil Rights era were not military veterans so what’s your point? LOL Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X, Dr.King, Rosa Parks, Elijah Muhammad, Adam Powell, etc… And this isn’t the 1960’s Black soldiers today, most of them aren’t concerned with what’s going on in the hood or Black America. I never have seen them offering free training workshops in Black communities in order to give our young men military training or even self-defense training. Fool, you need to watch or read A Spook That Sat by the Door.

If they aren’t teaching young black men how to overthrow these gangs or turn these Black gangs into para-military groups to f*ght against the police or to overthrow the government it’s all for nothing and they aren’t. Black soldiers have been or are in Iraq, Afghanistan, Rwanda, and Vietnam or other covert missions k*lling innocent people, murdering men, women and children for a country that views them collectively as second-class citizens. Like Muhammad Ali said, “The Vietcong ain’t never called me ******!” So fu*k you! Until these Black soldiers come home and liberate our community from these vicious gangs, corrupt police and terroristic drug cartels I will forever say a Black man doesn’t belong in the US Military.

It’s bad enough we as Black people pay billions in taxes but there aren’t any black-owned businesses or they don’t fix up our hoods they just gentrify them and use our tax dollars to fund urban renewal projects to annex us away from the financial districts in all major US cities. You don’t even know what’s going on. You’re not a “Hotep” you’re a Hoe! Sucks that I won’t even read your reply doesn’t it? But since you are a fool, I know for a 100% fact, your dumb a*s is going to respond and so you will be a sucker to everyone who reads your reply. You will see my post and it will sting but I won’t see yours! HAHAHA #CHECKMATE
