Haven't started on season 2 yet, but season 1 was dope. Always enjoy Mike Judge's work.

Been tryin to put my ppl on to this classic sh*t, they don’t know who a mike Judge is and they prob started with first ep of season 1 and called me a fool

To be fair I didn't watch season 1 at first because I couldn't really identify with the acts, so I never gave It a try.
Took a flyer on season 2 just because I was raised on the funk and wanted to see if this was any good.
Watched season 1 and its good in its own right.

Anyone who is a fan of black music, specifically the funk, should watch this.
The stories are handled in a such nonexploitive manner, when Judge could have easily made the greats look foolish, it shows how much respect he has for the culture.

A lot of Judge's work goes over peoples head.
I didn't get King of the Hill until I became an adult.

I can't say this enough, BX brethren...

This show is AMAZING. I started with season 2/The funk, binged the whole thing in 2 hours flat.

Went back to season 1. It's outlaw country. Whether or not you like country is completely irrelevant, mane. There's stories or top of stories in that. Mike Judge literally kicks off the whole season tellin' how he was a humongous fan of N.W.A., but he couldn't understand why the public was on their heads, but not talking about country starts. Just watch it. You're gonna get instantly hooked.

And Waylon Jennings was G with it. Couple stories in the series'll have your jaw on the floor.

That Morris Day & The Time episode coming on Friday is a classic in waiting, the way I see it...

I dont see him doing NWA/Dre/2pac specifically just cuz its been told so many times...his seasons seem to be 2-3 mega artists then a lotta smaller success stories mixed with a few more obscure 1's.

My guesses would be more like EPMD + Big Daddy Kane + Digital Underground then a Kid Frost , King Tee or Comptoms Most Wanted.

Geto Boys a LOCK though.

Regardless, im sure it'll be entertaining as hell.

All the country stars kept it buck.

What was interesting to me was how peaceful the music sounded but wasn't close to that behind the scenes.

I only knew Waylon Jennings from the Dukes of Hazzard. Hearing his story was kinda dope.

I like the series because its done in a respectful manner to the music and the artists.
