Crypto's top "meme coins" didn't take the weekend off, with both Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Dogecoin (DOGE) seeing notable gains on Sunday.

Shiba Inu jumped more than 30 percent by midday, according to CoinMarketCap, rising from $0.00001516 in the early morning to as high as $0.00001774. Trading volume over the previous 24 hours is $3.41 billion. SHIB is $0.00001671 as of this writing.

SHIB saw its all-time high of $0.00008 in October 2021 after a meteoric rise from $0.000007911 in less than a month.

Dogecoin, meanwhile, rose from $0.0771 to $0.0838 over roughly the same period, according to CoinMarketCap, an increase of nearly 8%.

The last time DOGE was trading above $0.08 was in early June. Fans of the coin are eager to see it hit $0.10, though it was trading at $0.18 at the start of the year, and as high as $0.34 exactly one year ago today.

The two coins have battled for leading market cap over recent months, hovering around $10 billion today.

I have a sh*t ton of shares in inu. Idk what I'm doing and I had a couple hundred laying around so I dropped 100 one pay check and then 100 another paycheck. Figured I would end up getting food or other dunbsh*t so why not. I haven't bought anything since and pretty much never check it. It would be pretty dope of that sh*t took off hahahaha

the bear market came at the worst possible time in life for me......i was damn near broke in real life and needed to cash out as a lifeline....im doing alright now and i still got some other bags like cardano that im holding onto....but i had to sell most of my crypto and in the end i basically broke even...due to needing emergency money in real life..

but its good to see that things are recovering now , if its truly alt season i might be back in green in no time.

Have almost 5 million shib which is nothing really for where it's at, and probably never sold it cuz I barely use the Crypto app. Just went on to check, and the app is annoying as hell now

I'm holding 10 mill of shibu, down 500 though. Hopefully it can hit 1 cent at least over the next few years though it probably doesn't.
