Mine were deep everywhere except my left side and I noticed when my hair is longer it pops. I cut my own hair so I started leaving that side a little longer than the rest when I cut it and kept the same routine.

After a few weeks it started looking like the rest. I think it's bc I sleep on that side. I use Cantu curl activator when I'm wolfing and it helps keep it straight without curling up under the durag.

Wash your hair
Brush 100x per side (it’s more like 200)
Wave cap (1hr)
Brush again 100x per side
Add some CANTU coconut oil or curling cream
Brush again 100x per side
Wave cap (1hr)

Over time you can adjust (but do this on a day off)

if holmes waves aint coming in after this....them joints done went to another surf

30 minutes to an hour a day for two to six weeks will get you some okay waves. For most people you will not look like Youtubers like 360 Jeezy (Pictures of guy in OPs post) and Sir Cruse (He has a different hair texture than most wavers anyway). They have been waving for decades. For our BXers with straight hair, you can have waves too.

damn white guy with waves lol respects

1. I never did double wave cap, I always thought it was silly or dudes were doing to much. But I understand the reason, catch those little hairs popping out

2. I hate sleeping with wave cap on, probably why it takes me longer to get them

3. I use a medium brush and hard brush

4. Cantu Shea Butter For Natural Hair Jumbo Combo (Hair Lotion, Curl Cream, Shine Mist, Coconut Creme, Twist Gel, Deep Treatment)

Cantu shampoo
Cantu conditioner
Cantu creams
Cantu everything

Never went back to that orange or blue can, never again

Also if your waves are really great you can keep it growing and go to the sponge brush for curly hair look

How long are you letting your hair grow?

What type of brushes are you using?

Do u have a soft medium or hard brush? (pause)

What are you cleaning your hair with?

What kind of texture your hair is?

How are you applying products, before or after your hair is super dry?

360 jeezy and I have about the same texture so it maybe a little easier.
I can generally go 1 full month without a haircut and even then I choose to only cut a little low(never bare scalp fresh)

I own both a soft brush and a hard brush that now feels like a medium brush

I honestly think this “hard brush” is really just medium strength

I clean my hair with tressame shampoo and lately I’ve used Cantu leave in conditioner

It’s hard to describe my hair texture simply but here it goes:

I generally get my haircut and only brush afterwards, by the 3rd day I start to use coconut oil and brush it in. When I need to wash, I use some tressame and then Cantu for moisture while brushing with my soft and hard brush.

Any specific advice???

Mixed Excellence.

Don't have to do anything but brush and trim with a #3 for deep waves or 2 1/2 for clean cut waves.

I've done used Murray's, NuNile to Sporting Waves etc BUT I had the best waves when I just used shampoo and brushed in the shower.

Nope... In order to have deep connecting waves you gonna be wolfing and brushing like hell for months... 😂 I'm glad I left the wave game years ago.
Me too bruh, I don't miss the brushing, having a hard & soft brush

It's not rock n sigh yinz

Brush her with you choice for grease or oil
Put on wave cap/durag

Put for couple kinda free times a day.

Sleep with wavecap/ du rag

Repeat for a couple weeks.

When you get cutale sure it's not too low

Also make sure you don't use a hard brush. Soft and medium only

The different brushes are key. I use a hard brush first to straighten, medium to keep it straight and lay it down and a soft to smooth it out.

I found that if your hair keeps curling while wolfing you can use a comb to straighten your hair out. I even use to use a Ziploc bag after putting in product to smooth it out. The wave cap and durag gotta be fairly tight.

Yea i the zip loc bag is key when laying down your hair. But i didn’t want to get to complicated
