i dont think it was what ended him

they actually touched on what really ended him in the all eyes on me above

over saturation

50 put out 3 albums and 2 g unit joints along with 35 official mixtapes between 03-07 that was all original material

the n*gga 50 was putting out music like he wasnt going to be around to spend the money
No he didnít. 50ís music output from 02-07 wasnít anything out of the ordinary. Those mixtapes (with the exception of the early ones) werenít even buzzing like that, when you compare it to rappers like Dipset, TI, and Wayne whoís buzz mostly came from mixtapes.

50 lost his appeal because hardcore rap is unsustainable in an era where music was trending towards a more relatable/softer vibe.

He was doing what 69 tryna do the right way.

I mean by right way meaning becoming the biggest thing in hip hop and was bully in the game and was still getting sponsored and a video game. Even overshadowed and passed the people he was dissing that were ahead of him.

The Ye chart battle ended him as it was the bully vs the nerd. He played into the bully with that and it hurt him a lot mainstream wise as Ye help usher in that back pack era. The tough guy sh*t played out while rappers being vulnerable was becoming a thing in hip hop.
Kanye winning that battle was a double edged sword...

While it was good for rappers to be themselves, Kanye helped bring the Downy Soft rappers to the forefront. Rappers became faker and more weak.

At least when 50 ran things, rappers still acted like men and dressed like men.

I didn't see no rappers wearing dresses until the Kanye/Backpack era

50 had one of the craziest buzz in 2002 I’ve ever seen.

Ja Rule was running the game and the streets were getting tired of him waiting for 50 to rise up and destroy him.

As soon as he dropped GRODT it was over. What’s more impressive is that there was A LOT competition back then.

50’s run from 02-07 is still getting talked today and will be remember 50 years later even forever. The way he conquered the game will never be repeated again.

Wayne was putting out just as much and still was a top guy.

Gotta think ainít to guy on 50 lane has ever got close to his success and there wonít be.

I think it was more due to his content never really change. Even classic mixtapes he after Curtis were still overlooked because it was a we heard this already.

He never evolved like Nas, Snoop, or Jay did. I think he would still be a top guy if he transition more content wise. That what keeps him out goat talk.

And here you go defending Curtis playing with dildos in the shape of other men's d*cks. You would let Curtis stick that same dildo in your a*s while he puts his own inside your mother's stomach...

50 took the pac blueprint and made it commercial with the video games, movie's and clothes

Glorify being shot and surviving, beef with the biggest rapper and label in NY and anybody doing music with them
Commercialisation part was MC Hammer. He started it but got clowned. He was ahead of his time. His album went diamond. tv cartoons, commťcials, merchandise and did world tours. Even this gospel rap that Kanye is doing. Hammer did it in the early 90s. Most of these rappers clown him in their lyrics but they should be paying homage

50 lost the appeal cause he was a a street rapper like pooh shistey that blew up big as hell, within 1 year he was doing big brand deals, hollywod carpets, top 5 on forbes etc.

I don’t think it was buzzing like that outside of NY. When 50 was hot, I honestly don’t ever recall hearing any narratives about him over-saturating himself. At least on a national level. To people like me outside of NY, we mostly perceived 50 as an artist who dropped a solo album every two years (which felt like forever back then).

i think 50s issue was not only was he everywhere himself solo he also was all over banks/buck/game/yayo albums aswell as dropping 2 g unit albums

in the space of 03-07 50 had released or appeared (multiple times) on 13 g unit solo or group joint(official) aswell as releasing 25 g unit radios

i mean if sway is talking about over saturation in 2005 on mtv , there was another 2 years of putting out all sorts of sh*t
