This is only in America tho. From Europe to Asia, China withstanding. Public transportation is fast, clean, easy, and cheap.
You can live in LA and have a backyard. Please remind which other metropolis allows that...

You can still get a house with a backyard, especially in southeast or north west. You gotta pay a good penny for it, but its possible

A lot of those places are dangerous though. The nicer areas like Georgetown are all townhouses.

Videos like that is why I always say I plan to move back to the Caribbean & raise my kids there. Having fresh air, fresh fruit trees & vegetables and plants everywhere, rivers, seas etc is my idea of paradise, not sitting in traffic for hours breathing in polluted air, seeing the same dull gray buildings all the time etc
On god

It was taken during Thanksgiving, but it can be 5 am on a Wednesday and the traffic be bad....
I tried to drive from my place in Van Nuys to class in the SGV (Rio Hondo JC) the day before thanksgiving 2011 at 430 in LA, it was usually a 45minute drive or so. Gave myself double because of the holiday.

At 6 I wasnt even halfway there. Turned around and went home.

Car insurance expensive
Earthquakes

Can’t even water your lawn without getting fined
$1950 for a one bedroom 1 1/2 bath apt? And water not even included

n*ggas with good hair in sensitive skin can’t survive that Cali climate. the wave grease and coconut oil must be on deck at all times. Less you rocking the shower cap everywhere like big worm

Real talk ford and the auto industry actively attacked the railroad and public transit systems to promote the use and need of cars.

I mean, I'm sure the railroad and public transit did the same to cars, but it def set us back and created the problem we have now.

We need to update railroad system and bus routes to be efficient and cheap. Not affordable. But cheap.

True

Every big city Iíve been to outside of the US has crazy public transportation. I traveled from Paris to London on a train and it wasnít even two and a half hours. From there I went from northern to southern Italy all by train.
It definitely can be done but these other industries are just greedy.
Hell, how does it make any sense that in Michigan (where I live) where the big 3 are weíve got some of the sh*ttiest roads? I know they are not mutually exclusive but youíd expect the state that produces these cars to at least have decent roads.

I live in Michigan too and the roads are awful esp in the city but they redo bay rd n state st every other year smh. Iíve heard weíre the only Midwest state that still uses salt instead of sand in the winter time. Donít know how true that is but I know that salt tears the roads up
