If he keeps his mouth shut and lives a normal life with a new identity in a foreign country he can get away with this. Key would be to not purchase no expensive sh*t and get a new identity.

5. Loomis Fargo, Charlotte, North Carolina

In 1997, David Ghantt and his girlfriend, Kelly Campbell, robbed $17.3 million cash from Loomis Fargo. Ghantt was a Loomis Fargo security guard at the time, and Campbell was a former employee of the bank. The plan was for Ghantt to load $17.3 million into a company van, drive it to northwest Charlotte, and hand the money over to Campbell, who was then supposed to take the money with her while Ghantt immediately left the country.

They got caught when they started spending their money suspiciously and the FBI successfully traced one of their incriminating phone calls. Almost all of the money was recovered by the FBI

My man needs to leave via boat to Thailand, Jamaica or even Australia asap. Provided he keeps low and stashes the money properly, he might not get caught. He will be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life though.

Should've ditched the GF and kept it moving solo.

Spending it and keeping her part of his plan was the downfall.

You would definitely have to leave US forever.

With that much money you could go live like a king in Thailand. Super cheap to live there and with that much money in USD, it would be an insane amount in the Thai currency.

I was actually thinking about this next crypto run move to Thailand. Beautiful country and I wouldn't give up my us citizenship.

It's sad to see so many in this thread supporting this man's theft rather than condemning it.

But that's the standard of integrity for this website: nonexistent.

They key is opening a business and cleaning your money with the legal business. The other key is to NEVER come back to the states.

I dont care if a minority steals from the 1%. Should I? They have been robbing minorities since 'they' have been in America.

What if I told you theft isn't justifiable?

If you can justify theft against anyone, then you can use that same logic to justify theft against anyone else by a matter of degrees.

You are either philosophically opposed to the idea of personal ownership or not. If you justify the theft of those with a lot by those with less, than who is to stop someone who owns less than you from the theft of your own property? It better not be you attempting to stop them, as they have a claim to your property every bit as much as anyone you feel can justify theft of the 1%.

Where does that logic end? When it affects you personally?

It's a flawed concept. There are members of the 1% who have not stolen from anyone, and who made their money through honest means. When you rationalize the theft of their property, you have rationalized the idea of theft itself.

But why stop there? What else is acceptable to you? murder, if done to those who you feel deserve it?

Your way suggests an abolishment of morality altogether. It rationalizes crime against those who you feel "will be able to survive regardless". No. Theft is philosophically wrong to an American capitalist who believes in the right of personal ownership, and the ability to prosper as a direct result of building upon said capital.

Your way is communism.

Opening up a business and being the new rich guy in town would set off alarms. People in foreign countries pay attention to the smallest details.

He would need some help and a new identity which he can buy. The legit business and cleaning the money would have to be done after and not right away.

I'm in Thailand right now and it's not the "paradise" that it used to be.

Their immigration system is hella difficult and they track-and-trace every person that comes in and out of this country. He would be caught here and sent back to the United States in no time.

As I said with another poster, Thailand's immigration system has been heavily overhauled.

Within your first seven days of arrival, you have to let them know exactly where you stay and how long you'll be staying here.

They track every foreigner that lives in this country.

Is condemning theft a conservative principle now? I had never known the other ideology had gone quite so far left.

I'm just amazed to see all of these bx Americans profiting from capitalism on a daily basis -- as they type on their capitalist-driven technological devices that enable this very discussion to take place on the internet -- in the next breath dismiss those who most profit from capitalism as worthy of being stolen from.

Imagine having no principles whatsoever to the point where you feel entitled to other people's sh*t.

Couldn't be me.

$1.2 million untraceable. If that gets deposited he can set himself and his family really well. So, how many years would he get if caught?
That will be fu*king hard to deposit even slowly over time without getting flagged.

You have to launder that sh*t.
