Nah it will take a lot to beat pacs after death impact for several reasons:

1) He was the hottest rapper at the time in him prime. Outsold biggie, had his hand in clothing, movies, liquor etc. Extreme intelligent mind given his environment at an age of 25. He also spoke a lot about issue facing the black community.

2) Multiple conspiracies. Did suge k*ll him? Was it someone from puffs camp on some east vs west sh*t? Did he fake his own death? Damn near reports of tupac sightings evey year. Then it was orlando and then I don't even remember the rest. It took like 20 years from both gangs to come out and say what happened to Pac and who really k*lled him on Vlad tv.

3) His body of work was so large that albums kept on being released years and years after his death to the point his posthumous releases exceeded the others. He was dead but every new album brought him back to life.

How many documentaries and interviews and investigations were released on Pac compared to big. They were both talented but let's be real, Pac was definitely way above big as an artist.

Keep in mind Pac put out his first album when he was like 20..dmx didn't put out an album until he was about 28. Pac did a lot given his age and the short time he was on top.

But this isn't an argument about Pac vs dmx because they are both some of my favorite rappers. In terms of after death impact I gave the reasons why, to this day, Pac is still having interviews done about his death.

DMXs passing will hit a lot of people hard for sure but just like mj or Prince or biggie... After a few years it will settle down and he'll be remembered as one of the last few real barcode rappers with a good pen game and energy

DMX was first signed in like 92, and was released shortly after that. He was rapping before that also, hence his beef with K-Solo on stealing each others rap style.

DMX didn't just wake up in 97 as a finished product as an emcee or person in general. Not sure why I responded to this BS. Both will be talked about for future generations obviously.
