Majority of people in recovery will say it's best to stay away from all of it. Not saying I agree, but them AA and NA folks who were able to stay sober for a lot of years will advise you to be 100% abstinent from anything that's mind altering

Exactly if you were ever in any kind of AA/ NA meeting and somebody you a*sociated with dies, MOST people are going to take that as a wake up call, or keep you motivated to not fall off the wagon. Besides being in meetings, sure most of us lost a friend to addiction at some point, and would feel the same way also

Addiction doesn't know color, stature, wealth, etc.. Doctors, Lawyers, Actors, Musical Acts, etc may have better resources obviously, but at the same time, they think they can outsmart the addiction, and that won't work either. And arguing about what drug or substance is worse is beyond retarded, it's all the same at the end of the day. Different levels to abuse, sure but still.
