That’s a travel and he does it continuously. It pisses me off.

He actually traveled twice on the play. Took two steps didn’t shoot, then stepped before the dribble.

Then after the dribble he switches pivot feet before releasing the ball.

Dudes completely ignored the fact that you can’t take 3 steps before or after the dribble. It’s not a harden gather situation either. He’s just taking 3 steps but he’s so slow no one knows how to call it.

On his spin fade aways, his right foot always comes off the ground while he’s still on his left foot. Both feet have to come off the ground at the same time for it to be legal. Otherwise that’s just switching your pivot foot.

It's a travel but so was Ray Allen's shot that saved bron. They hardly call travel since bron been in the league. Changed the rules twice to allow essentially what would be a travel back in the 90s to early 2000s. And palming and carrying are at an all time high. It's all about shooting, dunking, passing, steals and blocks. The intricacies of the nba are watered down to appease the thirst for higher scores. With higher scores come records being broken, arguments of who is best can be had, even though these guys play with less rules and some would say are more athletic.

Crazy shot but 100% a travel wtf. How can anyone argue otherwise?
It's NOT a travel though....

Section XIII—Traveling

If a player, with the ball in his possession, raises his pivot foot off the floor, he must pass or shoot before his pivot foot returns to the floor. If he drops the ball while in the air, he may not be the first to touch the ball.

There's nothing in the rules that state 'both' feet have to come off the floor when raising his pivot for it to 'not' be a travel.....

It's a TRAVEL. He switches his pivot foot. It was so much of a travel the announcer called it, released he's the hometown announcer then said nope he shot off the other foot.

The Embiid isn't a travel because he didn't pivot, he gathered. There is no set amount of steps or pivot foot establishing when you gather. That's why Giannis can stop his dribble at the 3pt line and layup or damn near dunk because of a slow a*s gather and long strides. Same thing with Lebron's "crab dribble" and Garden's step back.

When Jokic spins, he established pivot with his right foot, then lifts it and shoots the ball. Legal move per NBA's own rules, hence, why it's NEVER called a travel on him. He does this move regularly....

Section XIIIóTraveling
A player who lands with one foot first may only pivot using that foot.

In starting a dribble after (1) receiving the ball while standing still, or (2) coming to a legal stop, the ball must be out of the playerís hand before the pivot foot is raised off the floor.

ok looking at the video, it could of been called a travel in this particular scenario......

however most the time he does it it is legit because he usually does a side step and leans on his right foot/left foot. So itís not a travel.

this scenario though could of been called for one though
GSW in 2015 faced a bunch of cupcake teams.

you're skipping over the step before the pivot though.. he gathers, bumps and steps with his left foot at the same time then steps again with his right foot and pivots then steps back with the left foot which he shoots off of
