but, 90 percent of ODs are people who've been sober for a hot minute and they OD on their first relapse.. reason is simple. They start to make progress and think they can back slide a lil and it not me super detrimental.

When they choose to relapse (and this is specifically true to opiate addicts) they pick back up where they left off, thinking they can use as much as they had previously, but their tolerance is EXTREMELY lower and they overdose.
