KJ's peak wasn't in the same galaxy as 02-03 McGrady

Taking defense into account he wasn't on 96-97 or 99-00 Hill's level either

95-96 Penny lead the Magic to 60 wins with Shaq out half the season back when the east was still dominant, and finished 3rd in MVP voting behind 72-win Jordan and peak David Robinson
Between the 88-89 and 96-97(9 seasons) seasons KJ averaged 20/10 on 50% shooting. And made the playoffs every season as a starter. Those numbers are comparable to anybody, let alone who you listed. Not discrediting them, but kj is clearly underrated in comparison

0 1st team all-nba's and 0 top 5 mvp voting finishes in that stretch tho

Compared to Hill, Penny and TMac who all were in fact 1st team all league in those years listed and finished 3rd, 3rd and 4th in mvp voting

So once again all 4 were injury prone, but the difference is KJ was a couple of tiers below them as far as peak play. So to me he's a no for the hall of fame

He used to be mayor of Sac-town

He likes to r*pe underage girls and steal donation funds. He should be in jail for numerous sh*t. I haven't heard anything since he tried to fire some whistleblowers but his wife still has pull

He’s a borderline HOFer to me. Great player, good numbers, decent accomplishments and solid overall career. Because it’s the Basketball Hall of Fame and not just NBA Hall of Fame, there have been a couple guys who might not have been as good as KJ at his peak but had more of an international influence than him, so they got in but he hasn’t. To me, off his career alone, he belongs more in the “Hall of Very Good.” Maybe one day he makes it tho, because he had a good enough career then later helped to keep the Kings in Sacramento. Right now tho, I’d say no.

KJ was just hurt too damn much

His career numbers are skewed because he retired young, right when his abilities and role were declining. I also heard that he retired the first time cause he was upset that Phoenix traded for Kidd and he didn't like coming off the bench

I would say no to the hall, because although guys like Hill and McGrady (and eventually Penny) are in, they also have historical individual seasons and KJ never really peaked at that level

Hell Billups might not ever get in and he easily had a better career
Is there a FMVP not in the HOF? Billups got to go in. Especially since some dude like Mullins got in lmao

1 of my favorite players of all time. Too bad for injuries, just like Penny.

Had the most filthiest dunk still imho in nba history over Hakeem

If it was up to me Ben and Billups would get in; Sheed would be a no and Rip would be a hell no
Sounds about right.. With the current standards for the HOF.

Better question..

Do you agree with those standards?

I personally feel like it should only be generational talents, top 10 at your position all time, and mount rushmore guys only. Those numbers would grow eventually obviously.

NBA needs it's own Hall.

Iíll give you that...

I hate the way the basketball hof is so watered down though. Itís borderline trash.

Itís an insult to the Mount Rushmore and top ten position guys.
An insult to who? Its the BASKETBALL HOF not just the NBA
Almost everybody in there beatin the sh*t outta 99 percent of the people in the world who not in it

long shot, but i would say no...not enough on the resume.

which is a shame...he was one of the first aggressive pgs i witnessed growing up back when it was all about the inside-out style of offense league-wide.

Wouldn't go as far as setting the bar at top 10 at your position, but I wouldn't let guys like Mitch Richmond, Iverson, Mutombo (for example) in. They were great players but you have to set a certain standard for the hall.

Also as far as some of the guys they've let in from europe like Sarunas, Dino Radja, etc. I understand the league has been trying to go global for the last 30 years but its borderline joke that those guys get in. Yao Ming is bad enough because just based off basketball alone he wasnt close.
