May 16 - Commander kicked out of Space Force after claiming Marxists taking over military

A commander in the still-new Space Force has been relieved of duty after publicly espousing a number of conspiracy theories, including that Marxists had infiltrated leadership in all branches of military, while promoting a self-published book.

Like a number of right-wing Americans today, and the German Nazi party in its heyday, Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier believes Marxism is taking over in the U.S.

“Since taking command as a commander about 10 months ago, I saw what I consider fundamentally incompatible and competing narratives of what America was, is and should be,” Lohmeier said on “The Steve Gruber Show” podcast. “That wasn’t just prolific in social media, or throughout the country during this past year, but it was spreading throughout the United States military. And I had recognized those narratives as being Marxist in nature.”

According to the book, a “new-Marxist agenda” has taken hold in the military.

Elsewhere in the podcast Lohmeier also decried anti-racism training and education and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin’s diversity and inclusion initiatives.

“Lt. Gen. Stephen Whiting, Space Operations Command commander, relieved Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier of command of the 11th Space Warning Squadron, Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado, May 14, due to loss of trust and confidence in his ability to lead,” a Defense Department official told CNN. “This decision was based on public comments made by Lt. Col. Lohmeier in a recent podcast. Lt. Gen. Whiting has initiated a Command Directed Investigation (CDI) on whether these comments constituted prohibited partisan political activity.”

Prior to joining the Space Force last year, Lohmeier spent more than 12 years in the Air Force. It was not immediately clear where he will be re-assigned.

“Marxist” aka people sympathetic to the BLM cause/non racist/non extreme right wing

These people throw the communist/marxist/socialist words around so much it’s been lost its original meaning here.

He not kicked out, just reassigned. He’s an former academy grad pilot officer who will retain his pension and retire later. ( the poster child blueprint of the “American Dream” airman)

He’s also a supreme dumbass for publishing the views while active duty, but hopefully he won’t be in a position to lead anyone else as he continues to serve

To be fair, BLM founders said themselves they were trained marxist.

They are scammers/founders of the org, not the movement. These are two separate things.

Being against police brutality is not marxist

“And if ya aunty was a man she’d be ya uncle”

Man stfu useless a*s quote

They are not the leaders of the movement. Whatever sh*t they got going has nothing to do with what the people wanted. 9/10 people who protested don’t even know their names or could pick them out of a lineup

That was by design..... decentralisation is harder to attack...and you're not going to like this quote either...

"Perception is reality"

Even if founders of BLM were straight charlatans, they're perceived as at least figure heads....its da movements job to extricate and denounce them before their discredit da whole movement as a whole...

No it's not. The "movement" can't account for every single individual or their actions.

Corruption can occur at every level in any organization but BLM is supposed to be 100% perfect?

Lemme demonstrate something...i changed one word from your statement..you still feel da same way?

To not veer too off OP's thread... Marxism should be snuffed out at every possible opportunity...if you're familiar with history you know its a dangerous ideology thats claimed millions of lives.

Absolutely. Lol.. the fu*k..

The fu*king "protect and serve" militarized arm in this country is and has been out of control for a long time.

You REALLY want to compare the social organization and response to unjustified police actions to the 100 level deep corruption that occurs in every major police department in this country?

Tell you what, once policing is closer to perfect I'll be more than happy to go after the BLM founders for their fu*kery and get them on the same level. Deal?

They are only “perceived” as “figureheads” by intellectually lazy people looking for a straw man to tear down so as to not have to deal with the real issue and root cause of the problem.

And stop with the “da”... youre not fooling anyone, white man.

Crazy sh*t about these military dudes is that your entire life is socialism while in, and u hope when u get out and hit the VA..they just not smart..that’s what I learned in my time. Rarely had a NCO I wasn’t smarter then, I excelled cuz we both knew and I did what I was asked to do..

I actually did a speech in high school about mlk Jr being communist/marxist. I didn't see it as a bad thing... I see a lot of people openly looking for Marxist policies. Ppl call themselves Marxist all on social media. Plenty of them are "black".

As perfect as possible. Just like judges and doctors... Why wouldn't we expect that from somebody with our lives in their hands?? These ain't kids on the couch. They signed up for that pressure.

That's fine.

Elaborating on "perception is reality" Washington Post keeps a very accurate list on police shootings by race and demographic you might want to check that list out because a lot of the narrative that's going on doesn't reflect reality on ground.

I'm not defending law enforcement or BLM I just feel like the pursuit of reform should be guided by science-based evidence base database facts and not just emotions run amok.

Sure but doctors have insurance in case things go wrong hence why doctors are always practicing medicine...

there is a movement to strip police officers of qualified immunity... there's no way anyone with any kind of sense of self preservation is gonna sign up for that dummy mission arraignment..

Only people that's gonna get hurt are da populations most vulnerable who need law enforcement da most...

Now if folks tell me "hey, decreased police, but everyone can legally carry" now we're talking...
