Bruh mIRC was the sh*t lol, I nearly forgot all about that. I never ventured outside of Efnet. Waiting in queue on those XDCC send bots had me hype every time I moved up a slot.
Yo do you kno if they still have those rooms??

Im old school, used to p2p with mIRC before there was ever p2p. News groups used to have whatever you needed.

I remember downloading off Kazaa thinking im getting the newest full album out....

It was either some wacc indie beats from someone that named his folder "New 50 Cent"

Or it was the actual album that turned into static after 10 seconds of play.

Limewire and bearshare were no go's

Then Real Rap Talk came in and switched the game up. Torrents blew up shortly after.

Its crazy how easy it is to download any youtube video in seconds, and none of the people of power know about it yet. Thats going to be huge when people find out how many Taylor Swift, Beyonce, and Drake songs mf's been stealing.

Damn, this thread took me back. I was around for all of this with free hacked aol passwords, or free netzero accounts loading up that 56k at night when we weren't expecting anymore phone calls to be made. That's crazy to think about, internet on a dial up phone line that ran slower than all hell but when we had nothing to compare it to it wasn't that bad lol we were just tripping on the idea of being able to log "online" at all.

Then one of my friends down the block got DSL internet and I used to go over there all the time downloading milf hunter, 8th street, bangbus, etc and burning it to cd's, used to download tons of stuff and the crazy thing is I still have damn near all of those discs. I gotta look through them one of these days lol I loved and still love torrents, I remember but I kinda just remember being confused by it, idk if I ever used it enough to get it all correct.

The evolution of the internet and everything is seriously freaking NUTS.

Streambox Ripper was the go to for converting files! Napster was the truth but Kazaa came through and crushed the buildings when you could download ANY files. Rapidshare damn y'all took me back with that one, somehow I forgot about rapidshare. Shoutout Megaupload!! I used FTP's but not that much.

Damn I might shed a tear for these memories.
