TAYLOR TOWNSHIP -- An 18-year-old from South Orange, N.J., was ki1led in a crash along U.S. Route 220 between Port Matilda and Bald Eagle that closed the road for almost eight hours Tuesday.
Colleek D. Luckie, a passenger in a car driven by Roscoe G. Neely, was pronounced dead following a crash between Neely's car and a tractor-trailer. He was wearing a seat belt.
State police at Philipsburg said Neely, 20, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was driving his 2005 Chrysler 300 south on Route 220 near Fowler Hollow Road when he drifted across the center line and struck a tractor-trailer driven by John A. McCulley, 58, of Altoona, head-on.
After impact, Neely's car struck a telephone pole and traveled 300 feet through a field.
Neely, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained a minor injury and was taken to Tyrone Hospital.
