Just got a 98 Accord with like 230k for the low, sh*t is driving great. I smartened up and started using this as my daily driver. I was looking into to getting a tdi vw jetta or golf but I might try to get an 03 or 04 accord with like 150k and keep that for a while after I finish with this one.

I like to buy cars with high miles 200k+ they are cheap. After driving it for a while I can sell it for what I paid for it and get a different car.

I used to change the pistons and rings on those 2007-2009 Camrys, along with the Rav 4s and Scion TCs that have that same 2.4L I4. Good cars that go forever if you take care of them. 1st generation TC is a pile of dog sh*t though.

Up until I wrecked it last February, I had a 99' Camry that had over 350k miles on it. My coworker had the same model with over 400k before his engine blew. Jamaicans religiously believe in Honda and Toyota. There was a story about a guy that put over a million years on his Tundra and only did regular maintenance , it was about a 2006 or so. When Toyota started revamping the design on them. Toyota gave the guy a brand new 2016 Tundra in exchange for his old one so their engineers could tear it apart and do analysis and research on it.

This is a good list and a great thread. I like what most of y’all posted, I buy old Japanese cars and they just never die. Add 4runners and old manual shift integras. Old celiacs with the flip lights had that bulletproof corolla engine that would last 250k+ miles like nothing. sh*ts last foreverrrr. Just change the oil and brakes you good money.

Yu’d be surprised how many people will take a 300k “foreign” over a newer focus or prius. Game backwards.
you missed the entire target with that reply ...everybody was claiming value and longevity and you go left field...smh

My first car a '90 7 series bmw. When I sold it it had a little over 200k miles. Try doing that in a modern 7 series.
My younger brother had a 03 5 series that had a 260+k on it when he totaled it an showed no signs of slowing up.
