In 2008 Rondo was essentially a bench player and he was on the bench in crunch time that entire Finals and he wasn't elite then and he damn sure ain't elite now.
Tony Parker? Seriously. Has he ever even made an All Star team? 3X All Star, one time All-NBA THIRD team. Elite? Negative!
Chauncey "overrated" Billups. Let's see. 5X All Star, one time All-NBA 2nd team, 3X All-NBA 3rd team. Elite? Close (damn sure better than the 1st two you named) but he's not elite.
Like I said the last Elite PG to win a chip was Isiah (Kidd was a role player last year but if it was the Kidd of like 6 years ago he'd be elite status).
Elite Watch (Elite PGs who didn't win while they were still elite)
Stephon Marbury (for a real short time)
"In 2008 Rondo was essentially a bench player"
Gotta love self proclaimed experts that have no clue what they're talking about and make these huge posts. He had 30 minutes per game in '08 and struggled at times but still was the starting point guard for a championship team. Sorry that you're still bitter about that. By the way, making an all-star team and being voted on (not by idiot fans who vote AI as a starter) is a TINY bit more credible than your bitter uniformed opinion.
Go look up his post season stats from the past 2 years and see how stupid you feel when you see the type of numbers he was putting up. Lemme guess, you'll say something like "well he only averaged 10 rebs and 12 a.ssists but he still cant shoot! so he's not elite in my important opinion!"
