Joker should have been nominated in best actor and original score....everything else was uncalled for. This is the academies trying to show they are hip and not so close minded. Nonsense.

Uncut Gems should have been nominated for cinematography.

Dafoe most definitely has been snubbed for not getting a supporting actor nomination.

Lopez should have gotten nominated instead of Johansson for best supporting actress. Johansson already gets nominated for best actress and you waste a slot on her again?

The Farewell not getting a nomination for best foreign.

Golden Globes>>Oscars.

Joker getting well deserved recognition. I'm proud of the comicbook genre. Breaking new ground every year.

Jamie Foxx got snubbed. He should be in the best support category, but Pesci should win the gold.

Erivo shouldnt even be there. If the Academy was going for a diversity nom, at least nominate an actress that actually did exceptional work in 2019, like Lupita or JLo.

Bruh.....

I expected the nominations to be bad.

I didn't expect them to be complete and utter fu*king trash.

Not a single nomination for "Uncut Gems".
Not a single nomination for "The Farewell"
No "Best Director" nomination for Greta Gerwig
No meaningful nominations for "The Lighthouse".
No nomination for Lupita N'yongo
No "Best Score" nomination for "Avengers: Endgame".
Robert De Niro gets snubbed, yet his two co-stars get recognized.
One fu*king nomination for "Knives Out".
No nomination for J.Lo

Yet, "Joker" gets 11 fu*king nominations.
Please don't make me sh*t on that movie, because I really like it. But, 11 nominations is ridiculous. Some of those categories are like wut????
Antonio Banderas being nominated is laughable.
Same with Ford v Ferrari being nominated at all.
The aggresively OKAY "Jojo Rabbit" gets a bunch of undeserved nominations.

This might be the most boring Oscars in recent memory.

Hating a movie you like because a movie you like more didnít get more nominations is fu*king wack...

I agree on Ford v Ferrari and Jojo Rabbit, even though I donít think recognition is undeserving. Theyíre good films, but there were better.

I personally think Antonio Banderas should win it, so Iím surprised by the outrage at his nomination here.

Lupita is most deserving, but her snub is not a surprise... a horror movie released in the spring that was also divisive ... it was going to be overlooked...

Uncut Gems is on A24. Same for The Farewell and Last Black Man in San Francisco. Them not being good at campaigning is officially a thing.

Scarlett nominated in best actress and best supporting is some bullsh*t. She’s good don’t get me wrong but for her to be nominated in both when neither Lupita, Awkwafina or JLo who I’m not a fan of but k*lled it isnt is some bullsh*t. This why I hate this talk of we’re diverse we’re about more women, yeah only certain types.

Good on them for all the Joker nods, but that movie was not good enough to warrant 11 nods imo.

If nothing else I guess we can now expect more cerebral character comic book movies. Hopefully they're actually as deep as they think they are though...

I thought Sandler definitely should have got a nod for Uncut Gems, the movie was terrible, but Sandler was great in that movie. One movie having 11 nods is just crazy man.

I haven't even seen 1917 yet but Mendes has to win best director for that. I watched the behind the scenes for that film and the planning/editing/shot direction are next level like the amount of planning and detail that went into that film doesn't even make sense in regards to actually executing it.
