Yea but it's ignoring that a lot of this sh*t is gimmicks... look at the tablet/laptop business... yea people buy them but for the most part people give no fu*ks about it.
I agree, I have one of those. A laptop with a touchscreen is super impractical to use as a tablet for one reasons...size. Same reason this foldable tablet is super impractical as a phone.

Now if they can make a tablet that can double out into a 13" screen that I can connect a wireless keyboard to...while still keeping it thin and light...id be very interested.

Which is why I don't think people are going to really go crazy over this sh*t... it might grab a small market but not enough to really sustain it and keep it around.

They already have things like the surface and ipad that you connect keyboards to... there is no need for a foldable tablet.

This phone is just 2 years away from being 2 years away

There wasn't a market for a lot of things until the demand was created. I still think there is huge potential with this concept, just not what it currently is. Bet you any money if they resolve the size and price issue, it will become a desired luxury high end phone feature. But carrying around an expandable phone that's the size of two phones and cost the same as a high end macbook ain't it.

The phones we have currently are pretty much overkilll and every year it just gets more over the edge. Most people are literally walking around with mini computers in their pockets. I use to type up papers on my phone using msword and send it to my computer or printer to print. These phones are ridiculous, phones with 6gb ram, 8 processors and 2k or 4k screens ? sh*t is beyond ridiculous. Alotta reason why people so socially fu*ked up...that constant connection to the internet when before we could only go find a computer to search the web. Now you just tap on your super computer/phone. Hell just think about how you use to look up/ figure out shyt back in 04 or 05, technology is speeding along

Of course its not it right now.. still too soon, early tech, bugs, things to work out.

There is always a market for bigger and better but after this phone type potential is realized, id shoot straight for an iron man type device if i were a company

Many Chinese companies are basically arms of the government.

This just the beginning. The next gen of fold phones are gonna be dope. But honestly, phones donít offer much anymore except better hardware specs, these are just gimmicks to sell more sh*t.
I don't think the fold is a gimmick at all. This is the first major step to creating a truly portable computer where it's a phone, then you flip it and now it's a mini computer with some actual power.

It's going to be a game changer when everyone is walking around with their phone and computer and all they have to do is wirelessly link it to any monitor or TV available.

Nah, who gives a sh*t. This solves nothing. If a person wants a tablet, its not too much of a hassle to carry one seperately. There is no problem being solved here, all a sh*tty gimmick

Maybe so but you are trading a Chinese spy phone for an American one.
