Melo had:
Marcus Camby (defensive player of the year)
George Karl (coach of the year) ----fu*k him tho---but glad he beat cancer 2x
AI (hall of fame, mvp)
Chauncey Billups (MVP)

People forget that Melo was close to beating Kobe in the Western Conference Finals. A bench player's turnovers on in-bound passes from a bench player really fu*ked Melo over that series. Then, George Karl fu*ked him over that offseason.
2009 was his best chance of getting a ring. If they had gotten past the lakers, all you had in front of them was the magic.

People saying he should be out of the league are just plain hating, his numbers were still well above average, hes just not superstar melo anymore.

Im afraid at this point he has a kareem hunt level stigma attached to his name around the league smh.

nene was a good player but was more injury prone than amare...kenyon defensive player...jr smith is a 4th option player

pretty much what he was. he came off the bench. had a great year too.
remember teams were built differently back then. size still mattered.
everyone seen what the lakers were doin with bynum and gasol so if you were out west you had to defend that.

Denver had some stacked teams a few seasons but the problem was key role players were always injured. Nene, KMart, Camby were each missing 20 games or more yearly. Odds are you arent coming out the West without a top 2 seed and it's hard to do that with those key injuries.

lakers had two allstars in kobe and pau gasol..a 6th man lamar odom(would of been an allstar on a different team)..ariza derek fisher...a potential allstar bynum...the lakers were loaded compared to denver..worst case of scenario melo had one chance in his entire career to win a ring..

Facts! I mean ariza alone helped elevate us rockets last year so yeah.

Fisher was a damn sniper when he wasnít flopping. Lakers was dangerous to many good people. Nuggets was melo best chance tho.

I think melo to lazy for china, would be dope to see him hoop with Marbury but what if he sucks in china smh

That man has 3 Olympic gold medals. He's 19th in all time scoring (ahead of Reggie Miller, Vince Carter, Patrick Ewing, Allen Iverson, Ray Allen). He's a 10x All Star.

You..on the other hand... aint sh*t. You need to quit hating.

People be hating TOO much. I mean Melo do got his problems, but that New York media got everyone looking to tear everything away from that man. Melo a Hall of Fame fu*k yall

The part where he says Melo has played with the best PGs is complete nonsense, but msot of the rest of the video is ok.

Melo is just another example of how the league, the media and fans continue to overvalue iso scorers over everything, even though NBA history consistently shows they're nowhere near as valuable as they look.
Aside from Bill Russell era, iso scorers have dominated the NBA

Chauncy won with him being the best player on the team. He should've won with Melo and Camby, Nene and JR Smith in his prime.

Thatís still a weak resume to me for someone everybody pretended was on LeBronís level for years. I donít live in NY. I donít fu*k with east Coast media. Iím just being honest. Melo has been a great scorer but his resume is unimpressive to me. I stand by that opinion.

this how you know most of these people sh*tting on melo aren't fans of him...which is cool im not a fan of every player either ,,,,,melo is the only player who has to take whatever is given and make it happen...he has to take any players and make them into a championship team...with annyyyy players...while all the top players have won championship with stack rosters...but melo got to do with scraps and spare parts..

Nah.. players that are great at at least a few things, including iso scoring, have dominated.. while players that are just scorers, generally never win.. but people think they're amazing anyway.

MJ kobe and iverson were known to have some ball hog in them..mostly because they were on a mediocre team at the time..until MJ got a team and phil jackson he began passing the ball...same with kobe once he got pau gasol
Jordan handily averaged 6 a*sists in that era and even 8 in a season where you've never seen a SG do that.

He also played enough college ball to know how to pass.

Can't say the same for Kobe though
