The Best Machine Exercises for Building Muscle

visit this link source

In most cases, which machines you use comes down to whatís available and your personal preferences.

Typically, you want to prioritize machine exercises that involve as much muscle as possible. For example, a machine chest press will generally use more muscle than a pec deck.

As long as youíre doing most of your training with free weights, though, it doesnít matter all that much which machine exercises you use. Pick a few that target the muscles you most want to grow, get as strong as you can on those exercises, then swap them out with other exercises once you plateau.

When youíre putting together a workout routine, here are some good machine exercises to start with:

Use machines strictly to add on volume once you're drained from lifting free weights

If your gym doesn't have the original Nautilus machines, which they probably don't because your gym sucks, then aim for Hammer Strength plate-loaded leverage machines.

They come the closest to mimicking the human body.

Machines aren't as bad as people say.... Free weights should be the staple but don't be scared to switch it up with a machine every now and then or do an axillary exercise with them. One benefit of machines is the ROM is controlled so you can really focus on and isolate that muscle group u hitting. Plus dropsets with pin insert machines is usually a breeze... Fast and easy

i isolate the muscle first with free weights going until failure. supersetting every exercise. IE front dumbbell shoulder raises superset with later raises just to add intensity and fully round the muscle out then head over to the machine and do 2 shoulder machines back to back big dawg sh*t yall bx dudes aint on that resting 4 minutes between sets and sh*t

Nah you donít work your stabilizers with machines and itís easier to create misbalances using machines...free weights are generally more efficient as well

If you're trying to burn fat and build muscles, the rowing machine is a beast...full body workout and gets the heart rate up quick than a MF!

Second for second, indoor rowing is one of the best ways to torch fat, build muscle, and forge stamina.

Sprint 500 meters — a popular CrossFit test — and you’ll strengthen your back, hamstrings, and glutes, and redline your engine in two minutes. But not everyone rows the right way, says Ian Creighton, coach and general manager of Brick New York. “Pull with your hamstrings,” he says.
But yea this probably the only machine I use, my whole workout plan revolves around dumbbells/barbells

machines have they place, im sure, but youll get humbled if you think all you can do is machine work and then when its time to move some real weight and your stablizers are all fu*ked up

Squats
Deadlift
Bench
Weighted Pullups
WEighted Dips
standing military press
running

all you need

literraly all you need. split em up some days go heavy on some and light on other and rotate.

youll build yourself a strong functional body

You need to view the machine as something that allows you to focus on hitting certain parts of a muscle group. So during a freeweight bench press, you are using a lot of other muscles just to keep the barbell steady. If you do a machine-based bench press, you are no longer using these secondary muscles to keep the bar steady. This is useful when you are doing super sets. You can push your pecs to do more work before your arm muscles wear out.
