Based on your current download speed of 296.432 Mbps, we expect you’ll have a high-performance gaming experience on Stadia. Go back to the Google Store.

but I pay for 1GB service...Hardwired in to my PC and the modem is literally 3 feet away from my PC. Mediacom modems are trash. Or the Stadia test is trash. Downloading from Steam/Blizzard it runs at 600-800 mbps.

how much you paying

I'm paying $60 a month for 150mb/s and getting between 60-90mb/s wirelessly on my laptop but my desktop only getting 20mb/s (gotta be the wifi adapter I'm using).

Thinking about running a 25 foot ethernet cable from the cable modem to my dekstop but damn don't want a 25 foot fu*king cable going through my living room and into the hallway and into my bed room sh*t aint fair

could of went to ATT and got 300mb/s for $70 a month but I didn't do my research
A powerline adapter might help you so you don't have to run a cable throughout the house, look it up. Basically you plug the pair of adapters into your electrical outlets, one near the modem and one near the device you're trying to get internet access. Then you run an ethernet cable from adapter #1 (near the modem) to the modem and a separate ethernet cable from adapter #2 (near the device you want internet access) to that device.

I'm paying $65 for a supposedly 200 Mbps connection, and the link said I'm only pushing 116 right now. This was on an older laptop I keep upstairs. I'll need to run one on the laptop I actually would use to see if that one is getting speeds closer to what my plan says I should expect.

Same speed I had when it was Project stream and I had issues. Very skeptical that I can get 4K/60 at any point in time with only 35 mbps when I was getting image quality and control issues with the above speed.

Is Stadia like a subscription service where you pay one fee per month and play whatever you want? Or do you still have to buy each game?

I don't know but I'd a*sume it's a streaming service like PS Now. I don't see it where you have to buy each game, otherwise you would just buy each game. That's my thinking anyways. I guess if people don't have HDD space but it's in abundance these days.

You buy each game... Free standard service let's you stream at 1080p/60fps. Premium you get some free games a la PS+ and Xbox Gold and let's you stream at up to 4k/60fps for $9.99/month.

Would be a little quicker, but it's middle of day and I have other sh*t downloading/going on in the background. Always gets faster at night, I average about 1,100mbps.

I'm running Xfinity if anyone is wondering.

i would hold out for a while, especially if you already have a Xbox One

Microsoft is working on basically the same sorta thing.

Theirs is called xCloud

You can play your games on the Xbox, PC, Andriod devices, iPhones, iPads

By default Microsoft will already have a much larger library.

Basically once u can play the game on your Xbox One or Xbox Scarlett, then u can play it on xCloud

So you have to buy each game and then pay for the streaming service on top of it? Why wouldn't you just buy the game separately then. It seems redundant.

I'm a PlayStation guy.

This basically does the same thing as the Xbox, plus I got the pixel phone and Google pixel book laptop and chrome cast

i guess the ability to be able to play on any device, even while on the go

oddly Google hasnt really talked much about that. But imo thats a feature that they should talk about and showcase more
