Seattle supersonics are coming back..

Clippers can't leave the city, and there is a clause when the team was bought that it must stay here... with the money they make, why would they leave anyway.

Whys one city need 2 teams anyway? Because it has a lot of people NBA could be putting out a better product if one of these teams went to a city in need, fu*k all this d*ck measuring between the Clippers and Lakers.
LA always did. 2 football teams, and 2 hockey teams, 2 baseball teams, and 2 basketball teams.

LA doesnt need, but can accomodate 2 teams. Its large enough, rich enough and has enough people.

The Lakers have the larger fanbase naturally due to its history..Clippers need a fresh start, probably a new name IMO, and a detachment from the Lakers.

Jeanie sounds cut throat. I’m worried Clippers gonna be tough in the coming years. Dolan money by far exceeds Buss and Dolan’s even when you combine em. Only problem is Buss got all the politics on her side, MSG as an ally and she cut throat. I could see her firing Magic and taking control back too. Jeanie does not want to fail, and have fired her brother for nothing. I expect Magic to take a step back when it comes to personnel decisions.

Then you also know its a traffic nightmare when events are going on at Staples especially when the Dodgers are playing at the same time.
NFL Trumps everything else so you are implying that Los Angeles Stadium at Hollywood Park will not be a success because its not located downtown.
Iím sayin most fans would be upset at the location distant. You think traffic getting into the game is a concern for us? Lol we got traffic all day every day. Take into account the time with the same traffic leaving Inglewood now all traveling to the DTLA after the game. No ones gonna wanna do that . Itís gonna make going to laker games way more inconvenient.

Im from here as well and probably lived in almost every city in the city.

There are multiple things to do all over this place because its so big and spread out.

LA Live is not offering anything you can't find anywhere else, other than it's downtown.

A bar, a burger restaurant that they already have at the Del Amo mall, a steakhouse that's literally in multiple areas..an italian restuarant...

Get passed that and what else is there to do that you can't do anywhere else?
Iím talkin night life , not LA live. After 10 most things to do are in the downtown area or surrounding closely. Inglewood isnít too far but itís not a prime location to take a 10 min Uber to the bars

Fam there are bars everywhere. Shoot Inglewood is closer to Manhattan Beach and right by the 405.

Still there are reasons teams prefer downtown locations and its usually all about the money.

Inglewood is still not a bad location like an Anaheim would be.

Downtown is more Central to other forms of transportation and getting back east. That's the biggest draw. You can get to it from the Inland Empire. When Staples was built, people as far as Covina didn't have a realistic shot of getting to a game at the Forum. Everyone on the westside was though. Staples' location is a draw for that reason.

As far as things to do, Inglewood is closer to the beach cities with money, West Hollywood for partying and generally there are more things to do around there. LA Live is cool for what it is, but outside that little radius, you in no man's land real quick.

Driving downtown sucks! All the one ways...the area where they building the stadium is bigger than 4 football fields...The Forum needs to keep just having concerts and build another arena for whatever Bball team...

They building a metro too, there is a casino right there...

Lol and for all u n*ggas talking star power must not remember the 80's Laker games at the forum

This also is a huge appeal to not being on the wet side. La got fans as Far East as riverside and the more west the harder for those fans to make it out

Case in point many of those people are trying to move back into the city RIGHT NOW partially for the very reason of being at these evens.

Inglewood definitely part of the gentrification

Not bad but not the most ideal which is where they already are. This is why they didnít actually entertain the offer

Lol I feel you man Idc personally Iím just sayin this is how I think most people in LA would feel. They would sell out anywhere in LA but Idk how you could argue they ainít in the most ideal area rn. The feel is completely LA when you pull up

Nah there is an area across the street from the football stadium that they'll build on.

Crazy thing is all 3 arenas will be like across the street from eachother
Why is it taking 5 years to build the Clippers arena? It's just a basketball arena.

As rich as Ballmer is, couldn't he pay to get out of the Staples Center lease early? Can't sell a new arena to FAs this summer when they probably will be out the league by the time the arena is built
