Felon with no college degree, here.

Stick around in the right warehouse for long enough and you will make BANK.

$26 an hour right now just to sit in an office for most of the day, run the bills, sealing trucks and driving them across the lot or across town to pick up/drop off orders.

sh*t is sweet

Air Traffic Controller here...Easy gig once you get your certifications. Not that stressful depending on where you work. There is a lot that goes into it as far as pay goes. Easy route is through the Air Force in my opinion.

what kind of insurance you selling? I got my series 7 a few months after i graduated...the market was saturated as fu*k at that time...mostly from the people that lost their jobs after the collapse...but there were people making 7 figures like a boss in that suite....lot was full of Bentleys , Porsches, and M5s, among other whips, and here I was pushing my rusted 4Runner at the time

can confirm this...my boy got into the repo game 2 years ago and is making cake...he puts his life in danger a lot tho...he covers a lot of rural New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont....he gets a gun pointed at him so often he carries now...one time he was pinned behind his truck in rural Maine and a lady was firing from her porch...called the State Troopers and they said it would be 45 minutes...an hour and fifteen minutes later they finally showed up

I guess thats the idea of the article...you don't have to go to college to have a successful and fruitful career...which many people think you have to do

Threads like this always disappoint me to see the vast amount of people who just hop on the "You don't need college" train

Going back to school was probably the best decision of my life

Got a High salary job before I even graduated

The point of article like this is to show that there is a way to have a good career without college, and a lot of people don't realize that. The Electrician who is debt free, licensed, and earning $50/h working for himself after 5 years was making a way better choice than the liberal arts major who is working at starbucks 5 years later with $100K worth of debt.

Insurance claims adjusters can also make good money with no degree and lots of mobility.
Not agents having to live and die off selling policies to Granny with the bad hip not knowing if she's covered, I mean internal liability and field damage adjusters.
Can make $50k+ with good benefits, profit bonuses and company car.
Exactly. Not just adjusters, but also if you sell too.

You don't need a 4 year degree. You just have to passed the insurance exam, and most importantly, you got it have a clean record. That's pretty much it. I got mine, and I'm doing pretty good.

I'm shocked this wasn't on the list.

That renlistment bonus wasnít enough to keep ATC cats around in the Air Force. ATC is one of the best jobs in the military that transfer even better in the civilian sector... salute

If your young you should be getting into a trade, give it 10-15 years and those jobs are going to be so in demand that labor costs are going no where but up. You may need a little school, but most apprenticeship programs will pay for that if you stay with them for a few years after.
