Ehhh, jay was my era but for whatever reason I just couldn't get into his music, but I would never argue his legacy or placement on people's rap lists. Music is subjective and it hits people different then others.

It lowkey was, but I didn't want to diss these clowns. The song sounds very awkward and corny. I get that Jay was trying to use a different flow, but it really wasn't hitting that hard.

Nas doesn't wastes bars while the entire first verse of Hovi Baby sounds like Jay is just reaching/rambling and trying to find something deep to say. That sh*t is lowkey trash. The best thing about it was Jay experimenting with his flow.
