Justice League fans still keen on seeing Zack Snyder’s version of the film thought their most recent campaign — the “Day of Justice” on the second anniversary of the movie’s theatrical release — yielded some hopeful signs. A new report from Variety may dash those hopes. The report suggests that Warner Bros. has no plans to release the Snyder Cut in theaters or via the HBO Max streaming service. One insider is quoted as saying, “That’s a pipe dream. There’s no way it’s ever happening.” The report suggests that finishing Snyder’s version of the film would cost millions of dollars in editing and visual effects work. Warner Bros. isn’t interesting in spending that money on a film that was a “commercial disaster” upon release, and one that their DC Films franchise has moved past with the successes of Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Shazam, and Joker.

Makes sense, WB is doing everything in their power to distance themselves from the synder era

Being rated R doesn’t automatically make a movie good. Snyder had nothing to do with the getting movies like the Joker made, he just likes having blood and s*x in his sh*tty movies. In his directors cut for BvS we got to see Batman murder people more violently and that’s about it

Just goin off his resume b. BvS is one of the worst CBMs of all time (even the extended cut). Man of steel was fine on first watch but gets worse with each view. His pre-DC work is also terrible. It’s a bit of a marketing miracle that all these people are convinced his cut of any movie would be some sort of masterpiece

BvS was indeed a let down, but Justice League was just horrible, rushed & didn't feel organic at all. While I'm not claiming that Snyder's version would have magically made the film a blockbuster success, I definitely feel that his original vision would have been better that the theatrical release.

Gotta disagree. Watchmen is better than every DCU movie ever made.

By far far Snyder is way better than joss whedon watchmen sucker punch 300 man of steel dawn of the dead etc really bvs was terrible but joss whedon generic avengers was terrible seeing all the stills just proves Snyder version is better they prob don’t wanna release it because they know it and would have to change plans for the dc universe again
