Cool so in 32 years in the game KRS has 1 gold album and 1 hit song which makes sense that he only had 1 of each since initially I though he had neither. Which is Still not enough for a 33 yr old man to be looking for money especially after you’ve informed me Scott father who KRS knew for only a yr didn’t even produce the one album they did “together” which means he really was KRS DJ who helped him get a deal.
Edutainment is the fourth album from Boogie Down Productions. Released on July 17, 1990, it is an album whose lyrics deal with afrocentricity and socio-political knowledge. It has 6 skits/interludes known as 'exhibits' that all talk about or relate to Black people. Many skits feature Kwame Ture (né Stokely Carmichael) a leader of the U.S. Civil Rights Movement and Black Power Movement. The album was certified Gold by the RIAA on October 10, 1990. KRS One has stated in interviews that the album has sold over 700,000 copies

As of September 25, 1989, the album was certified gold in sales by the Recording Industry a*sociation of America.[2] Both the album cover, depicting KRS-One, and the album title make reference to Malcolm X. The album's cover art is a reference to the iconic photo of Malcolm X peering through his window while holding a M1 carbine rifle. The album title is a modification of Malcolm X's famous phrase "By Any Means Necessary."

Ghetto Music: The Blueprint of Hip Hop is the third album from Boogie Down Productions. The album was certified Gold by the RIAA on September 25, 1989.

Always funny when people who dont know what the fu*k they talking bout love to talk...funny the Twitter Woke folks make up 90% of these astronauts.

fu*k all the extra sh*t. KRS should have at least talked to the man when he saw him in the dressing room. How the fu*k are you always gonna talk about the mans dad, but never even had a simple conversation with the kid. He should have at least been fake nice and asked him how his life was.

Scott never owned a label.... do your research before clamnging something thats false ....all the music Scott,D-Nice and KRS made as BDP is owned by B Boy Records ....who was owned by Jack Allen and William Kamarra ...KRS has mentioned several times that it was a bullsh*t deal and that he has never seen a dollar from the Criminal Minded album ....it was re-released a few years ago with out KRSs knowledge too as he doesn't own any rights to the music

....So some one needs to tell Scott La Rock JR to go hit up Jack Allen and William Kamarra for the money they owe his father as they are still making money off is name and music
Allen and Kamarra sold B-Boy Records to Phase One Network a few years ago. Phase One got a nice little catalog of old school music going. They started with the Warlock catalog a decade ago. That was Sleeping Bag/Fresh Records (EPMD, Mantronix, Just Ice, etc.) and Streetwise (New Edition's first label).

If he is looking for his, he is looking for his. KRS 1 is not responsible for that and, aside from possibly pointing him in the right direction, can't help him,

He needs to find out what happened to his father's royalties and take up issue with the person who did not share them with him. Those royalties are LONG gone and some relative, most likely, got and spent them.

However, if KRS 1 owned the label and was responsible for royalties, aside from publishing, he might be accountable.
