I think some people are a little disappointed by AD
because of the way Lillard has been playing. He's
averaging 18 and 6 in his rookie year, which are
great numbers, so people outside of the hornets
fanbase have started to forget about AD. But
when you look into their numbers, Lillard shoots only about 41% and takes over 15 shots a game; his
PER is 16. AD's PER of 20.5 is uncanny for a
rookie, but his numbers don't pop out because he
only gets about 27 minutes per game, compared to
Lillard's 38. Not to mention, AD is only two years
removed from high school while Lillard is five years removed. Once you start seeing AD getting
accustomed to the NBA game and getting over 35
MPG, then you will see him as a top 3 PF in this
league.
