na anderson came in as a MW. he fought at 167 early in his career. he also fought in a 175 tournament not long before coming to the ufc. he fought at LHW 3 times in the ufc, 2 of those times were f!ghts put together last minute.
bones is huge. both his brothers are 260+. he'll probably f!ght around 240 when he decides to move up to HW. anderson at 205 is fat and not in ideal f!ghting condition. after the sonnen f!ght they showed anderson weigh himself and he was like 190 something. gsp is around that weight on f!ght day. anderson has a size advantage in terms of height and reach, but he's not much bigger overall.
Yeah your right bruh, he did f!ght at 205 against Irvin in 08 and got the easy W. Dude walks around at 220 normally so 205 is def nowhere near sloppy for his frame. Anderson has never been gassed at the end of a f!ght due to being "fat" and could very easily make 205.
Stylistically, Bones v Silva would be epic. Both have unorthodox f!ghting styles with devastating kicks/elbows but Jones would have the ground advantage. The heights would also be more evenly matched. Silva dwarfs GSP no matter what weight he was. Bones's brothers are also considerably larger than him, so you can't base their weight on his. They didnt call him "Bones" for nothin (mainly for his chicken legs though).
Point is, IMO, the two would make for a much better f!ght that I don't think Silva wants any part of, I'd say, mainly due to the fact that Jones could possibly end his career. So why wouldn't he take the f!ght with less risk?
