@jeezy being a hood "poet" and wayne and Andre being about even strictly rapping...n*gga what, not even close...just off rapping alone, Andre runs laps around weezy...especially lyrically.
Thug motivation 101 was exactly that.

You're crazy as hell

I'm arguing with a n*gga not even from out this way I'm a fuxkin fool to even take you half serious

But post examples of Andre 3000 and the laps he runs around Wayne I'll wait

Find that feature cuz its sure as hell ain't a solo song

Actually let's go feature for feature I'll play your game

I wont even do Wayne solo songs

T.I. in my opinion. is deserving of a top 5 southern rapper of all time. you listen to i'm serious until his newest albums.

it's has a jay-z,nas, dj paul and even have a 80's krs one and scareface story telling feel to it.

Andre even said big boi was a better lyricist than him. Lmfao wayne way better than both lyrically. Wayne outrapped both on hollywood divorce too
lmao@using Andre's humbleness to defend ur sh*t...Andre was like the Prodigy of the group and Big Boi the Havoc...

n*gga in what stratosphere is big boi a better lyricist than Andre?! U honestly believe that? Well, u just said Wayne better than both lyrically, so that says it all...u 2 wayne stans can slap all u want...that is complete bullsh*t. When did u n*ggas start listening to rap?!

That's irrelevant. It's like saying those 80s rappers more influential than Nas, Jay, and Biggie cause of their groundwork. It's like saying some 2 guard before Jordan was more influential for the sht he did.

Wayne is more influential than his predecessors. He surpassed them and did more when rap was turning into the biggest genre in music.
Yea, getting the hip hop world to listen to your region after they wrote you off is completely irrelevant to influence.

Keep spewing dumb sh*t, Iím gonna just agree with everything you say.

I love thug motivation 101 and think it's a classic, but he ain't no fu*king "poet" with them simple a*s rhymes and rhyme schemes mayyne...that album was just hood, banging beats, and OK-good lyrics but the final music product was the truth.

U already lost acting like where i'm from makes a gotdamn difference...so I guess u can't judge east coast/up north n*ggas because u from the south right? That's some silly a*s sh*t..

u can bring in any wayne verses u want from anywhere (and I don't have time to go song for song...who has that time on their hands fam)

Off top, I'll put up anything from say, Aquemini...title track I'll go with

Twice upon a time, there was a boy who died
And lived happily ever after, but that's another chapter
Live from home of the brave with dirty dollars
And beauty parlors and baby ballers and bowling ball Impalas
And street scholars, majoring in culinary arts
You know, how to work bread, cheese, and dough
From scratch, but see the catch is you can get caught
Know what ya selling, what you bought, so cut that big talk
Let's walk to the bridge, meet me halfway
Now you may see some children dead off in the pathway
It's them poor babies walkin' slowly to the candy lady
It's lookin' bad, need some hope, like the words 'maybe', 'if', or 'probably'
More than a hobby, when my turntables get wobbly, they don't fall
I'm sorry y'all, I often drift, I'm talking gift
So when it comes you never look the horse inside its grill
Of course you know I feel like the bearer of bad news
Don't want to be it but it's needed, so what have you?
Now question: is every n*gga with dreads for the cause?
Is every n*gga with golds for the fall? Naw
So don't get caught up in appearance
It's OutKast's Aquemini, another black experience
can't believe I'm having this silly a*s debate...I guess Wayne is better lyrically than Jay Electronica too, right? Again, I wasn't talking about Careers and classics...clearly Wayne got them beat for different reasons on that...mostly because they haven't put sh*t out...but strictly rapping? Hell naw

All rappers have egos. 3 Stacks has no need to be humble in this situation. Wayne better than both.

Of course he does, he's showing love to his friend and partner...u bugging if u don't think that plays a factor and he knows he was always looked at as the better one, so all he's doing is giving his n*gga props because big boi been underrated.

We'll just agree to disagree about who's the better rapper...and I refuse to argue further about who's the best lyricist because there's no doubt in my mind about that part. Flow and delivery are arguable and I'll give Wayne the delivery edge...but lyrics?! y'all buggin!

I thought Carter V was a top 5 or 6 album this year (where a lot of hard n*ggas came out) and I put it over my favorite artist of all time's album (nasir)...I mean clearly carter V was a better album, so duh...but I say that to say I ain't biased against weezy in any way. I made that clear with my first post in this thread.

Sure man, being so good that the genre youíre in, which wrote off people from where you from before simply because of where they were from, listens to you and fu*ks with your sh*t so much they want to listen to other artists in your region and even take elements of your music and put it into theirs isnít being influential at all.

For this whole thread all I see is reasons why Wayne can’t be top 5 for southern rappers which is crazy and I’m not even a big fan of southern hip hop but I respect their contributions to rap

Wayne had hits from when he basically a preteen to now

He gradually developed and became better

His mixtape run only rivals 50’s which is damn near hard to do

He had a stretch for at least 4-5 years he was no lower than the 3rd best rapper

As of right now no southern rapper can rival his 07 run which was insane

And at a time of when people where finding reasons to sh*t on the south when the sound of rap was shifting , Wayne took it upon himself to not only out rap his own peers in his region, but outrap any east coast rapper you brough his way

So off those reasons alone he’s a top 5 southern rapper
