Decent comeback. Didn’t expect that honestly.

But still flawed. You’re at the wrong perspective.

The actual perspective is
“No one wants to get married anymore”

And then you shoving the divorce rate in my face

Your perspective is more of
“Hey there’s no good jobs out there”

“Hey. We’re hiring!!!”

“Nah. I’m good”

No one is rushing to fill a vacant spot.
However you see it or whatever makes you sleep better at night it still boils down to the same point. Companies are dumping people by the tens of thousands and then hiring the folks at a reduced unlivable wage. On top of that they're hiring less workers to do the jobs of multiple people. Corporate greed a mfkr

So. People do or don’t want to work?

And what’s the reason?

Or was this just a chance to spit rhetoric for props?

Can’t actually speak on it.

The man!!!
Corporations!!!
Big pharma!!!

Yep. That’s all it takes, huh?

over the summer, the company had fired its chief executive, chief financial officer and executive vice president of sales.
Last summer, the company fired its CEO, CFO and executive vice president of sales and laid off 300 employees, Furniture Today revealed. The firm then named Todd Evans as its new CEO. “Our industry is experiencing a drastic decrease in consumer demand,” Evans said in July. “Our inventory levels remain high and new orders from our customers remain slow.”
The company wasn’t even functioning

So. You stretched it into something that’s not the topic.

Is it the same employers or are you lumping?
Most people are lumping when they make these statements.

A lot of companies that are notorious for treating staff like garbage, have resumes piled up. Some of those companies are running out of “new” people to hire.

Amazon for one. But don’t recall them complaining.

Mostly mid-level chains and mom and pops.
Lol I don't even know what you are trying to argue about. Who said anything about Amazon? Did me making a generalized, sarcastic comment about that boomer a*s saying upset you in some way?

And you’re right back to where you belong.

No. You didn’t mention Amazon. How about read the whole thing.

I made a statement and then brought proof to back it up.

You. You just made generalizations and insults.

You got it.

Company treats workers like sh*t

Leaked documents show Amazon employees are quitting at twice the rate of recent years. Low pay, a stagnant stock price, and a grueling work culture are largely cited as fueling the exodus, but increased competition also makes it easier for the most prized corporate workers to find better opportunities.
Same company finds workers.
Amazon has been hiring hundreds of thousands of workers for roles in its warehouses, which it calls fulfillment centers, but those employees have been quitting almost as fast as they can be hired, according to a huge report from The New York Times published on Tuesday.
Same company has to actually lay off and fire even corporate employees

I taught myself how to read financial statements, so I started reviewing them intentionally now. If the company's cash flow changes significantly, it’s time to look for a new job. Besides that, I check BLS.gov for careers in demand. I can’t guarantee it’s reliable, but again, intentionality is crucial as it applies to
employment. I learned my lesson before and got caught slipping when I didn't do my due diligence on the employer and the career.
It's too real out here not to be tactical.

Lol!

Why does no one think that if the owner is not making money, how can he pay me?

Everyday on BX, there's a topic about the economy and interest rates. I'd be thinking about the falling demand and using my network to see what else is out there. They sell furniture on credit. The interest rates are rising. Furniture sales might slow and inventory will build up a lot. The housing market is stagnant now. With rising interest rates people aren't buying new houses, and don't need our furniture. What I'm trying to say is that if the business isn't doing well, people have to use common sense and their best judgement.

The worst part about losing a job is paying for health insurance without a group and you lose retirement benefits. The benefits are valuable.

The inventory surplus from higher interest rates could've been sold at reduced prices. It's supply and demand. Record sales after operating expenses and taxes doesn't mean record profits.

It's a healthy conversation. All I'm saying is take care of you! Do your homework and be critical (just not about me ha!)

Where did you learn to read financial statements from? I just joined a new company and out of nowhere I looked at their financial statement for this year and next year. These fools are talking about cutting back and selling off sections of the business. I might’ve made the wrong decision

I did a certification for my career with Kaplan. You can find certifications pertinent to you through Bls.gov and the occupationational outlook handbook.

Check out Youtube for accounting courses and financial statements. Also, Kahn Academy definitely has lessons on balance sheets, income statements and cash flow with chapter quizzes so you can practice. Here are a few other free sources, below with courses and books.

What's the plan once EVs become more mainstream??? I've been hearing rumblings that increased automation and less parts will lead to less jobs at all OEMs/service centers..
