Facts about Jordan's time with the Washington Wizards: - The Wizards the previous season were 19-63 (14th in East, 27th in NBA) and were the worst defensive team in the league. Before his injury, MJ for the first 46 games was averaging 25.1, 6.2 RPG, 5.3 APG, 1.5 SPG, 0.5 BPG on 42.1 FG%. He was getting better as the season went along. So were the Wizards team. In the last 20 games leading up to the injury, MJ was averaging 27.5 PPG, 6.4 RPG, 5.2 APG, 1.3 SPG, 0.5 BPG on 44.2 FG%. In the last 10 games leading up to the injury, MJ was averaging 29.7 PPG, 6.6 RPG, 6.1 APG, 1.2 SPG, 0.3 BPG on 47.2 FG%.
