I have have done a lot of recording and mixing. Here’s a few things I can tell you…of course getting it done professionally is best but if you wanna work with what you got I suggest:

1. Don’t face the foam when you record. Face away from it. Most of the sound bounces from behind you. It’s why you see in professional studios the artist facing the glass. And honestly, get rid of the mic thing. When people used that on their recordings they sent to me, it did some funky things with the vocals. But of course always test and compare with and without it.

2. You may not need THAT much on your walls. I don’t feel that your vocals need to be completely dead. There are plugins that can fix it but it’s best to get the sound to be as good as you want from the start. Having a very slight room sound is best in my opinion.

Look at Cardi's setup, it's way more effective than the way you flooded the wall with acoustic panels. Look into 'moving blankets' (U-Haul, U-Line) and use those to absorb sound.

I pretty much used these plans to build mine. I bought the rockwool and wood at home depot and had them cut the wood there, so I didn't really need any tools except a cheap staple gun. Bought the fabric at Joann. It's a night and day difference with these on the wall vs. untreated.

You got some good sh*t we all bought HS8 when I was in art school for audio engineering. That Apollo interface is heat and Waves is always a win definitely cop a bundle from them on Black Friday/cyber Monday!

Even if you adjusted the panels the sound quality wouldn’t change

Best advice I can offer is just be consistent cuz that’s where you grow record something everyday and create a ritual like say a prayer then write a verse to a random beat so your writing skills get better while your developing your recording skills

And take some singing classes to open your vocal range up
