My 3rd day on this life style change keeping my carbs under 20 grams aint so hard...hard part for me is the moderate protien staying at 125 grams is hard i always go over atleast 10 grams...fat intake is easy just add butter to everything you eat....i woke up feeling alot more energetic and not hungry was able to go work out then came home to eat breakfast...

Not trying to sh*t on a keto diet but I see a WHOOOOLE lot of pork in this bih.
Was looking for a simple wayy to up calories with basic foods but Imma have to pass on all the swine.

I got a little meal plan that you might be able to do

5 meals

Each one has
4 oz of lean ground turkey
2 table spoons of butter
2 oz cream cheese
And cabbage or whatever kind of leafy green salad you want

Started this yesterday. No carbs is easy, but no fruit is my struggle. Don't get down with artificial sweets, but love fruit. Still have two of the ripest watermelons here and mangos which are calling my name. Any advice??

Also I've started getting a non stop headache, any ideas or pointers??

You might be experiencing the keto flu

I would get ur electrolytes up and up ur consumption of salt since ur body is flushing that all out also keep ur water high

Whenever i got a sweet tooth for fruit i eat berries especially black berries and it satisfies my cravings for fructose but yeah sadly eating a mango will kick u out of ketosis

And dont right off tuvia jus yet i def prefer it over actual sugar now and its natural unlike other sweeteners


And ps im back man ...its all good i realized depression is a thing im always going to deal with in some shape or form it will never jus go away but i can cope when i figure out the right mechanisms

I'm about to lift and do hiit jumping rope between sets. I think in the keto thread they said something about drinking chicken broth for electrolyte replenishing?? I also looks at low carb fruits and watermelon seems to be ok but I'm not too sure. Luckily I realized I'd gotten strawberries Friday and eat about 5 at a time for my sweet fix twice a day. Really low in carbs so that may be my sweet fix, but man this headache is serious. My biggest issue won't be carbs, but the fact that I don't really eat a whole lot like most people do any advice on that would help

I've also been kind of a d!ck since yesterday but figure it's my body adjusting like withdrawal from drugs. I feel bad because I'm being mean to everyone, even getting angry at my dog

On the real man if you need an ear on that other thing hit me up bro. I'm all about helping people, all bullsh*t aside

The first week is going to be hard , you are going to want to quit infact most people quit in the first few days because they get tired they get headaches but if you grind it out you are going to lose weight and you are going to feel amazing

No fast food

Eat real food

Eggs, meat, cheese, avocado, salad, veggie, fish, coconut oil, berries, nuts,...


Your source of carbs will be fruit and veggie and nuts. Your source of energy will be from healthy fat like avocado, coconut oil, nuts etc. And protein from chicken, beef, pork, fish, eggs etc.

After your first post I looked and have like 4 boxes of chicken broth. Drank some out of the box and my headache is gone so I think I needed electrolytes.

How often can I eat fruit lol?? I hate artificial sweets so that's not an issue. I can still have my protein shakes though I'm sure?? I make them with almond milk which is >1 in carbs and the mix is 3g.

About to eat 5 eggs with cheese and an avocado since I just finished working out. Not sure what It is but I was sweating like a dog working out and jumping rope between sets. Legs are dead

I think the last question for now is did anyone start to get hot when they started?? I was getting flashes and sweating before I worked out. I will post what I ate today later. Thanks to everyone for the information and I plan on doing this for sure
