Dirk > KG. Superior title-run, won more games, dominated head2head, better at scoring, way better at scoring in the clutch. Frankly I’m not sure how people get so hung up on the aspect that KG was a much better defender than Dirk and extrapolate it to mean some fuzzy math equation where Dirk’s offense and KG’s defense had equal value when the reality is that Dirk’s shortcomings merely necessitated a Tyson Chandler while KG needed 2 other prime or barely post-prime HoFers and a baby Rondo just to achieve the exact same record in the Finals.

KG might of been the more complete player, but in the playoffs im going with Dirk.

This the perfect example of how people undervalue defense. As a big one of your jobs is rim protection, Wade saw and exploited Dallas's lack of interior defense. They lost because they had nobody to lock the paint up, that's on Dirk.

If anything kg is lucky to have that one ring. He joined up with 2 other stars to get it, Dirk didnt have any co stars in 2011

When the Celtics won in 08 it was against a Lakers team that didnt have Bynum and trevor Ariza. Yet all you hear from Celtics fans is how they didnt have Perkins for game 7 in 2010. Perk was getting dominated by Bynum and Sheed was doing a better job anyways

There is a decent gap between Timmy and KG dummy...saying Dirk is better than KG is not the same as saying Dirk is better than KG. Timmy was a rock regular season and playoffs all thru, can't say the same of KG....

That's not a fair comparison, KG is one of the greatest defensive players of all time, Dirk is a terrible defender. KG was a good scorer, Dirk was a great one. So KG is doing both at a high level, Dirk is only doing 1.

All Dirk had to do was score. KG had to do everything on both ends. Minnesota had some of the worst rosters in the NBA during KG's prime, Dirk always had a solid team around him
