‘14/‘15 to me were where they should’ve kept it. The years afterwards felt like they were chasing something they shouldn’t have been chasing.
This right here, last good years was 15 , they alienated there core buyers tryin to be something there not.

If I wanna go fast, personally I want a V8.

The apex sports car, a 911, has been and until they name it something else always will be a 6 cylinder. Lighter and balanced.
Yes but a 911 is nothing like a Camaro. Two different classes of vehicle.

A pure track machine with a V6 or flat 6 is just more nimble with plenty torque imo. For the oval I get it but If they wanted to chase hp could have built a caprice and ate Dodges lunch at the drag with mildly boosted V8s.
They made a Caprice and it was a pile of sh*t.

There aren't that many real GNXs around anyway. Only 547 were made.

I understand that however the Camaro was starting to be billed as a sports car so I was simply relating to others a six cylinder is more suited to the task in my opinion I think of 8 and 10 cyclinders as muscle cars

I hear you but V8s, 10s and 12s are also suited for sports car duty. There are V8s close in size and of smaller displacement than even some V6/flat/straight 6 engines.

Chevrolet sold them as fleet vehicles to police departments. Huge, ugly car with a not so great LS V8....nowhere near as reliable as the Crown Victoria.

People sh*t in Ford but the Mustang is the more superior muscle car. You can say or think what you wanna think. I see all generations of mustang still riding in 2019. To me that's a big statement on an all around muscle car. I can't say the same for the shotty Camaros. You rarely see in 03s and back on the road in 2019. I see a sh*t load of new edge 99-04 mustang still riding. I'm not gonna even get on the GTs and Cobra models. sh*t a 2003 Saleen is better lol. The best 2 Ford models to get are the mustang and f150 whatever version floats your boat. The rest of the Ford's models of any car are trash juice. Don't debate this

I don't know but last year the BMW M6 GT3 (V8 engine) class car was more successful than the 911 and overall the most successful car in the GT3 class with 6 wins of 73 entries to the 911s 0 wins of 17 entries.

Porsche has been very successful in various disciplines of motorsport but they were not always on top. They also make V8 engines so I don't really see your point. Various chassis/drivetrain layouts have advantages and disadvantages compared to others.

I’d be interested if enough events were entered by the 911 for a true comparison how they may compare but more surprised it was that low v how many wins BMW had as the M6 is fast in that class. No V8 in the 911, my point again is checker for checker, podium for podium, champagne for champagne the six cylinder is synonymous with sport, exotic is a different beast and the extra cylinders come into play.
