But this is still a stupid a*s argument because multiplat games are still a part of an individual console’s catalog, so saying there are no games for it is literally factually incorrect. “B-b-but Ragnarok is gonna be on PS4 too!!” Why the fu*k would you play it, or any of these multiplat games, on the inferior hardware unless you broke? Because PS5s are readily available now and back in stock on PS Direct literally every other day at this point so that “You can’t get em.” bullsh*t is dead.

I remember mounting ISO's back in the day on PC using Daemon.exe, downloading rips, then you had to edit the shortcut on your desktop, make sure that sh*t never goes online, disabling punkbuster

It means to override the system to do things it wasn't intended to do. Almost always it is used to upload, or inject, your own code into it. It isn't limited to game consoles.

Using the Switch as an example. Some of the original models had a bug where if you take the right controller joycon off, and stick a paperclip in the slot that motherfu*ker goes into, you create a short which will force the Switch into Recovery Mode. Recovery Mode is/was only supposed to be used by Nintendo in the event they need to fix a system. Once in Recovery Mode, you can plug the Switch into a computer and inject your own code, bypassing the software that comes with the Switch. Once you got that down, the device acts exactly like any computer would and you are free to do what you want with it. I use my Switch to remote play my PS5 and freely download any Switch game. Granted they are mostly a*s but my nephew be on that sh*t for hours so its all good.

Okay well in your case the only wasted purchase would be the Series X. No Xbox slander, I have one myself, but I jus don’t see the point since the PC guaranteed gets all Xbox exclusives, at a higher performance. The optimal set-up to play everything available at the highest performance is obviously a PC/Series X, PS5, and a Switch. Personally I run PS5, Switch, and XSX. Woulda did PC instead of XSX but I already got a $4K iMac for music so didn’t want to run 2 separate $3K-$4K computers.

Obviously only one console is not the way to go for any true gamer, but even for the broke boys that can only do one, the PS5 has a massive catalog between exclusives and multiplat and is currently the highest performing way to play all of those if you’re going the console route, so saying there’s no games for it and no reason to buy one is factually incorrect clown sh*t. And even sh*t from this year like Horizon Forbidden West and God Of War Ragnarok, yea they available on PS4 too, but nobody that actually gives a fu*k about this sh*t is gon disrespect themselves by playing them on inferior last gen hardware. Especially not the BASE models. So what exclusive games did the PS5 get this year? sh*t only the 2 out of 3 surefire front runners for GOTY.
