I'm not sure if this series was necessary (do we really need to give Jeffrey fu*king Dahmer a backstory), but it is competently made and very well acted.

I'm about halfway through, and while it can be difficult to watch, it's certainly fascinating. I also don't agree with the article's claim that the show fetishizes Dahmer. This was a big fear of mine going into it, but I can honestly say that, if anything, it makes him seem even more repulsive and disgusting than I even imagined.

Netflix did seem to bury its release, which is strange seeing as how I'm hearing more about this show than any of its other ones outside of Stranger Things.

I couldn’t get past episode one, too much gay stuff in the beginning plus it seemed more like they were celebrating him. Look at the clip of him in court in the original post, in real life his hair was normal, in the movie they gave him blonde highlights. I don’t mind telling the true stories like these but don’t try to make people turned on by someone who k*lled people for fun. I’ll never watch this one again or finish it.

This is understandable,things like this can make good movies(maybe not THIS extreme of crimes but point still stands for other movies) but they also still happened so it could affect people(I bet if the producers/creators walked in on one of their kids/loved ones getting r*ped they wouldn't be happy if someone made a movie on it without their consent especially just for money)

The ending when buddy k*lled Dahmer was so satisfying...

Dope series once you get past the trauma aspect...I liked the angle from the victim's families, Dahmers parents - childhood and police oppression/ racism/homophobia..I think that's what made it more polarizing

The Netflix show was a great motion picture of art. Great acting by nearly everyone involved. I’m sure it took a toll on them trying to recapture all of the emotions that those real family members had. fu*k the police if true calling that family to sh*t on them and getting a award for what. Hope that was just Netflix adding sauce. But if true I see why people can’t trust police and this is not even the start of the trust issues today. I do feel bad for the families but some stories do need to be told in a different lens and light if 100 percent accurate.
