Quit all together? No, I was a hardcore every Friday and Saturday night, every holiday blackout drinker and this year I finally cut that sh*t way down. Now its special occasions, vacations and stuff. I feel the superpowers, I think clearly, body feels great, motivated to do more, its like night and day. Still enjoy getting f’d up time to time though.

Lost 40 pounds too.

You drink beer, wine, or liquor?

I go to the gym 5-6 days per week, but once I drink on the weekend, seems like I don't get in shape...really effects me..but its because I like good IPAs, easy 200-300 calories per beer

The thinking clearly part I've really noticed. I think back to before I drank, life was much better without alcohol.

No I drink liquor but Iíll drink a whole 5th which lead to eating like sh*t while I was drunk and the hangover, thats what made the difference. Plus its hard to gain muscle when alcohol is slowing the growth down, more muscle burns calories, I have noticed a huge difference.

All that said, 4 day weekend this weekend and Iíll be drunk af haha

I did. The most I'll do is taste a sip of a drink if I'm on a date with a chick. I haven't had a full drink or anything more than a sip in probably like 6 or 7 years. (It's been so long that I don't even remember at this point)

Alcohol is wack as fu*k IMO. I'm already confident so I don't need it for that "Liquid Courage". I also have never had a night of drinking that was worth the hangover the next day. It's easy to quit something when it makes you feel like dog sh*t regularly.

I used to have to drink at least a six pack every day, for the better part of 15 years.

Now I feel like drinking would make me want to throw up. I think my stomach lining is depleted, from years of drinking. But I haven't bought any alcohol in a few years.

So it's possible to stop, once your body starts rejecting it. I don't know if that's the ideal. And I can't say I'll never have a beer ever again, but the craving is gone for now (whereas I was definitely 'alcoholic' before).

Actually today is the first time in years I'm realizing I think I could handle drinking beer again.

I haven't drank in a few years tho, so I think I better stay away. But a Coors Light would kinda hit the spot all of a sudden.

The best thing about white claws is Iíve been fu*ked up off of them, then wake up the next day like nothing happened.

I have slowed down a lot. Getting older and waking up hungover sucks. I look forward to sleeping at least 10 hours. Will smoke weed though

OP, take when you learn here with a grain of salt:

We are all different heights/weights, drink different alcohol, have different genetic makeups, etc.

I say the above because I use to drink heavily (by my standards) and legitimately quit cold turkey, with out batting an eye.

HOWEVER, I have other addictions that aren’t as easy to kick. Therefore, (in my eyes) I simply traded addictions. But I view addiction as addiction no matter your fix of choice .

I pray that you make it through my man
