Police in Grantsville, Utah, have arrested a young boy after four members of a family were shot to death inside a home Friday evening, police said.

Officers responded to a call to the residence around 7 p.m. and discovered the victims -- one adult female, two juvenile females and a juvenile male -- with bullet wounds.

"We believe all the victims are related," Grantsville Police Cpl. Rhonda Fields told ABC News on Saturday.

The alleged shooter, a juvenile, left the home with an adult male before the police arrived, Fields told reporters early Saturday morning.

The suspect and the older male were heading to a nearby hospital, where adult was listed in stable condition with a gunshot wound, police said

Utah Governor Gary Herbert took to Twitter to send condolences and urged "parents and grandparents [to] secure your firearms."

Police said the juvenile was the lone shooter and that he was taken into custody without incident

This is the 10th mass shooting in which four or more people have been k*lled or injured in the U.S. in 2020, according to the Gun Violence Archive, a not-for-profit that tracks shootings.

Definitions on what constitutes a mass shooting vary among organizations, but the FBI generally defines such incidents as those in which four people, excluding suspects, are k*lled

You’d think when a guy was emptying banana clips out of a 20th floor casino resort window at a sea of people k*lling 50+, this country would wake the fu*k up. But nope. Cuz you got inbred fu*kheads like McConnell that care more about the NRA than the citizens they swore to protect. As long as people like Jim Jordan and Mitch McConnell are in power, we will always have an uphill battle for common sense, logic, and progress.

You gotta go through more to get a drivers license than a gun in this country. Thatís fu*ked.

What I suggest is that ARís should be banned across the board. There is no reason for civilians to have those. And there should be an extensive process for getting a handgun. And there should be a limit to how many guns a person can have. You shouldnít be allowed to stockpile war weapons.

If you disagree then having guns provides a certain fulfillment in your life that youíre lacking elsewhere. Thereís something wrong with you. You have a problem.

For some of yíall gun junkies I honestly wonder what it would take...like who needs to catch a shell to the face by a psychopath before you decide enough is enough? Like maybe ur mom? Ur bro? Sis? Grandparents? Who needs to have their head blown off by a mentally ill piece of sh*t that simply walked into a gun store, before you finally feel like something needs to be done?

The biggest statement in your response to me is the mentally ill part. Guns donít k*ll people idiots do. And I find it interesting that youíd rather have ARís banned over trying to regulate concealable hand guns. I do agree that it should be harder to get guns and mental evaluations should go hand in hand with purchasing a gun. I think THATS the biggest issue, not the type of guns we can get or how many we can own. If itís more regulated there would be less guns being sold because nut jobs wouldnít be able to get their hands on them so easily. If someone is a gun enthusiast and an avid gun collector I see no issues with that but I believe they should be mentally evaluated during every purchase of a gun and every registered gun owner must get yearly mental evaluations to deem them fit to continue to own a gun. Thereís middle ground to be met on this topic it donít have to be from one extreme to the other, people just so quick to move off impulse due to emotional connection to issues they follow and feel invested to. Idk this just my opinion, Iím no law maker or anyone of influence. And I apologize for the paragraph response just thought I had to lay out my counter argument clearly.

There is absolutely no reason for ARís with that bump stock bullsh*t to be available to civilians. If you think that they should be, then you are obsessed beyond logic. And in my humble opinion, being obsessed with having a collection of weapons under the guise of ďhome defenseĒ or any other rationale, regardless of what theyíre doing to our country, communities, schools, etc....that is in and of itself a mental illness

Bruh majority of gun owners donít use their guns irresponsibly, the processes that I stated, even though extremely hard to fund and organize nation wide, would solve a lot of the issues you speak of without restricting people of their second amendment. Like I said if people tried to find more middle ground the argument wouldnít seem so intense, instead people f*ght tooth and nail for their extreme belief being right vs their opposition. Everyone on both sides only wants to be right from their view point but this issue isnít an easy fix from one side to the other so middle ground obviously needs to be found. 🤷🏽*♂️ Iím coming at you with solid opinions and thoughts of solution while you continue to a*sume a lust for guns or whatever else you may be thinking, instead of collectively thinking with me on how an issue can be solved youíd rather feel that you are right on your ideology towards this topic.

As long as our government has weapons, and people in this country can get them illegally, Iím not giving up or limiting ish. I live in one of the strictest states and above that one of the most strictest counties. I abide by our gun laws 100% of the time.

My dude I lived in Vermont for over 6 years...open and conceal carry state. Iíve had friends who are big into guns with wild artillery at the crib...300 blackout rifles, 9/10/40mm glocks...all that....and that got me big into guns. I almost copped one for myself. But then I didnít.

Iím all for home defense and feeling secure. But war weapons are not to be collected. Even if someone is of sound mental health when they purchase, that is not a guarantee that they will be that way forever. It just doesnít make sense to me for people to able to walk into a store and buy an AR, with a bump stock on the way direct from China off eBay. This shouldnít be allowed. Thatís all Iím sayin. And perhaps a limit of a few handguns....that should be enough

As long as the government has rifles, Ima have rifles! If u really think banning guns is gonna change anything u are sadly mistaken and half remedial. I legally conceal carry a .300 blackout on a daily basis. Why? Cuz I have the right to bear arms, protect myself AND my family from harm at all times. At the end of the day, guns don’t k*ll ppl. Stupid MFs with guns k*ll ppl.

100% I feel you and I donít disagree with you, that why I was saying a law or something should be formed nationally to make it so people who are registered fire arm owners are required by law to show proof of a mental evaluation every year in order for them to keep their guns or they get them confiscated. Something like that is hard to implement but it is an idea for starters. Iíd rather go through the hassle of having to show proof of my mental health every year and be able to keep my guns. I do think there should be a restriction on the amount of weapons AND ammo people buy and keep over time though. Like I said thereís plenty of middle ground to work off in this topic but the extremists only want it one way or the other. Not saying you by the way, you bring up good points.
