icon What I eat after A 17 hour Fast

Intermittent Fasting if done consistently can be VERY beneficial to the body.
I’m currently practicing a 17 hour fast with a 7 hour window to eat.
In the process of getting an understanding of what my caloric intake should be and macro breakdown.
I’m 6ft and weighing 198lbs, but want to trim down to about 185-190ish.
Need to get my abs back and build the muscles up again.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Youre throwing those weights around like theyre nothing. Have you considered increasing the intensity of your weight training and simply being in a caloric deficit for 8-12 weeks?

Yeah I don't want to sh1t on buddy however he appears to just be going through the motions. OP could benefit greatly from learning some fundamental movements and applying his current diet knowledge into a traditional approach. Then you start messing around if you want

Every sport starts with fundamentals. It's just the way things are done

Appreciate the 2 cents man. I will be 43 this month , so I’m getting myself back into the routine.

Good suggestion…I’m in the process of figuring out what my normal caloric intake should be this way I can taper off into a deficit.

depend on time and what muscle you want to prioritize

PPL 6 day a week

Upper/Lower 4 day a week

start with that , download boostcamp app there plenty of program and follow one for 6-8 week and switch if you feel like you plateaued on lift or continue if you keep getting gains (meaning you reps or weight you use keep getting up)

Learn about progressive overload and calorie deficits , it will benefit you better than doing fast for 17hours and you will build muscle instead of losing them

get atleast 0.8-1g or protein / lbs daily

so if you 195 lbs you need between 156-195g but 156 is really enough unless

you have 8% body fat and your pure muscle

adjust the amount everytime you weight drop

Appreciate the breakdown fam. I’m doing the fasting to help curb my appetite for sweets and eating all day. I work remotely from the house, so having access to food all day can be an issue.
Definitely going to give what you mentioned a try though.

fast after 12hour there little benefit to do it ,

fast is basicly calorie deficit ,

watch what you eat use a app to track , like lifesum there a scanner so you can scan barcode from food you eat ,

losing weight too fast you will lose muscle too
