I'll make it simple for yall.

Gross Income: ($1,900+$700)= $2,600
Expense: ($800+$1,100)= $1,900
Net Income/Net Profit: $700

Easiest way is to start out with a balance. $1K

Purchased for 800, you have 200 left
Sold for 1900, you have 2100
Bought again for 1100, you have 1000 (original balance)
Sold again for 700, you have 1700

You profited $700.

But he starts out with $800 how is ending up with $700 earning anything. That’s not profit. That’s the remaining balance which is $100 LESS than what he started with.
He has the initial $800 he started with.. PLUS $700 FROM SELLING TWO COWS.

He sold the first cow for $1900 and the second cow for $700. That's $2600 he was paid. How did he lose so much money?

You're doing it in your head. Do it on paper bro.

I got an A in Business Calculus lol.. Work thru the problem

User
i bought a cow for $800 dollars. I sold it for $1900. i bought it again for $1900. I sold it again for $700. how much did i earn?

ChatGPT

Let's break down the transactions:

Bought a cow for $800.
Sold the cow for $1900.
Bought the cow again for $1900.
Sold the cow again for $700.

Now, let's calculate the overall profit or loss:

Revenue from the first sale: $1900
Cost of the cow for the first sale: $800
Profit from the first sale: $1900 - $800 = $1100

Now, you bought the cow again for $1900, and then you sold it for $700.

Total investment in buying the cow again: $1900
Revenue from the second sale: $700
Loss from the second sale: $1900 - $700 = $1200 (negative because it's a loss)

Now, let's calculate the overall earnings:

Profit from the first sale - Loss from the second sale:
$1100 - $1200 = -$100

So, overall, you had a loss of $100 in these transactions.

My answer was more direct but this is the perfect explanation.
Yeah his earnings were technically $2600.

Expenses were $1900.

Leaving him $700 net.

Ima pull this question out on a night of drinking w/friends. And fu#k everybody up.

$700

Or it's $2600

I say $2600 because he's not asking how much the total
He's asking how much he's earned from that same cow..

I love these threads tho. Sent this to my sister I'm not even gonna say her answer

You n1ggas should never speak about money again

In the end

You went to bed with 100 less than you woke up with. So the profit would be -100
But with this logic it’s almost as if u robbed Peter to Pay paul. Meaning that initial 800 that u saying u lost u obviously owed to someone that’s why u put -800. Otherwise, your account would say 0 instead of going into the negative. So now when that 1900 hits u get the full 1900 instead of the -800.

The profit is $700!

However if you started off with $800 in your account and then you add $700 profit on top of that $800 you began with then you would have a total of $1500.
