Top 3 system for me also. It's the 1st system I lost my virginity on. I mean I had hella cousins who had Sega and a Nintendo but I honestly was just tapping buttons for the most part. The n64 was the first system where I knew wat I was doing.
Top 5 for me no order 1.mario kart 2.wcw vs nwo revenge 3 goldeneye 4.super Mario 64 5. Legend of Zelda ocarina of time. 64 got hella classics. |

Funnest game Ive ever played hands down were Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Kart 64.
That Super Mario 64 was game changer. Imagine going from 2 graphics and limited abilities to a 3d, free roam game where you have so many abilities. He could speak, jump/run on walls, do like 3 or 4 different flips, punch, kick crawl and a bunch of other sh*t. I was amazed when I played that game for the first time. I was glued to it for a long time lol. That was he number 1 game that year. Til this day, pound for pound, Super Mario 64 is one of the greatest games ever made. It also set a standard for gaming. Nintendo showed their a*ses with that one. ![]() ![]() |

Pretty sure all the games really worth looking into have been listed in this thread, repeatedly.
And all in all, it's about 15-20 games total, max. Just something to consider. I know it felt like the rivers were kinda shallow, as an owner. And the games were expensive, with little 3rd party support. So let's not get all too nostalgic, in here. It was "okay." |

Playstation, PS2, Dreamcast, Genesis, NES all really did have endless classics, in contrast.
Atari had a whole lot in the 80s, if not as many as the aforementioned. I quit gaming after PS2 so I don't know, after that point. Call of Duty looks interesting but to hear ya'll talk, game quality is not really improving these days with "advanced" technology. Could have foreseen that, somehow. Technology is a nice "cheat" but doesn't make for the heart of a great game, and they're making them easier in general and therefore less rewarding. Stuff along those lines. It could be Panel De Pon 64, but this douchebag is hoarding it and even with literally being GIVEN equipment to help dump the rom to preserve a lost piece of history, he appears to just be ignorant to holding from the public.
Reminds me of that Wu Tang record from back in the day. |
