Can someone on KD's get him 2-3 of the top IG thots to cheer this man up!
We'll never see a prime kd as he always had a team of stars, kd could average 40 ppg if he wants, he did his career a huge disservice and it's all downhill from here

Much respect to this man, terrible that an organization green lit him and put his health in jeopardy but that’s all behind us now.
He just said himself that HE WANTED to be out there. You do him a disservice by acting like he is a weakling who got bullied. That man made a decision to play to help his teammates win a chip.

this some pu**y sh*t. you tellin me the same thing hasn't gone down in pretty much any passionate US sports town? all of what you said was relatively tame and lightweight. and half the cheering was when he got up and was walking off cuz thats what classy fans do when opposing players get up from injury. this has been the most overblown dumb US media take in some time
Mike Breen literally just finished an interview on local radio and he was asked about the cheers. He said the crowd cheered twice. Once when KD first went down and a second time when it was clear he was seriously hurt and he stayed down. Lowry, Ibaka and Raptors PA announcer all told the crowd to STFU.

As KD was walking off he did get a lot of cheers but that was after the fact. There were social media posts of people celebrating his injury at bars, restaurants and in Jurassic Park. I’ve never seen anything like that from a crowd in any of the four major sports. Not at that level.

It’s not an indictment on your whole fan base. Go in the series thread and I posted a tweet about a fan who sent flowers and an apology to KD on behalf of Raptors fans so fu*king relax.

The crowd cheering KD’s injury, fans yelling at Steph’s parents and wife just made this series personal. Free rallying cry material. It’s on now. Win game 6 and all the pressure is on the Raptors for game 7.
Sorry bro, series over tomorrow.

If 34 year old Kobe can return in less than 8 months from an Achilles injury than so can 31 year old KD. Hopefully we’ll have him back for the playoffs next year.
fu*k that let him sit out a whole year.

Let him sit two years if he needs to IDGAF but if he can play then he'll play.

why do i care what mike breen said again? you know there's highlights for us to make our own decisions? when kd first went down did you forget the game was still going on and he turned the ball over and ibaka was on a breakaway and got fouled?? did you think MAYBE some of that cheering was for the game?? and yes there was some cheering when he was injured but when he GOT UP to start walking there was a louder ovation you can clearly hear. kyle is trying to quiet the crowd at this point for some reason not realizing they're applauding him walking off the court, why would they quiet down then??

and that's complete and utter bullsh*t if you think none of the other major sports cities in the US haven't done far more disgusting acts than this. complete bullsh*t. won't even justify it with the countless examples..

this was nothing more than US insecurity of Toronto doing it big and getting far too much love/attention for their liking even from their own people and this was an opportunity to make us the villain and hated again. it's happened in every major US sports city but THIS time it's disgusting, lmao ok.

Mike Breen was 20 feet away from KD when he went down but lets just ignore his account of the incident. You act like KD turned the ball over with a bad pass or something. His Achilles snapped and his first instinct was to drop the ball and fall to the floor in shock. That's not an ordinary turnover. The Raptors crowd clearly isn't that educated to tell the difference.

And I dunno why you're making this out to be some sort of US vs. Canada/Toronto crusade or conspiracy. If there was a vendetta against Canada/Toronto the NBA, NHL, and MLB wouldn't have teams there and the NFL wouldn't let the Buffalo Bills play games occasionally in Toronto either. That's all I have to say about that. Make what you want. This is the last time I will address this issue with you because you're clearly confused.

Dude already had a Jones fracture which is a pretty serious injury. Now with the Achilles tear, it doesn't look good for a 7 footer with 2 major foot/leg injuries on the wrong side of 30.

This is the problem with KD he cares what others think and is too much involved with social media.

Name another star that took hospital pics for the world to see after Achilles surgery?

The fu*k does your last paragraph have to do with the US media?? Lmao

No one knew the severity of KDs injury in the absolute chaos and mania that is a drunk 20,000 people arena seeing their team get an open fast break in an NBA finals game. You can clearly hear the cheers relating to Ibaka's fast break and then getting fouled - there are actually highlights of this play and you riding Mike Breens d*ck instead of making your own informed opinion. Furthermore the education of a fan base in an arena where the cheapest ticket cost near $3,000 is clearly not the same as a regular PO game or reg season game.

Don't need to hear any more of your dumb sensitive takes on this either so hopefully you're done

Why don’t you guys keep that same energy and sh*t u been talking for 3 years now; coward this, snake that, no heart, not competitive... blah blah... a bunch a fake losers with fake sympathy in this thread, get well KD from a dude that never doubted your heart and decisions.
Naw.... Folks can still not respect his decision to going to the Warriors and hope he gets well. He took the easy way out, nobody can dispute that, but that doesn't mean people wished he got injured.

Easy way out? He took the hard way out, dude got crucified and knew he would, went to a team that he also knew would never be considered his, fans turned on him, media turned on him, the NBA turned on him, he took MILLIONS of dollar less in money and endorsements ... u think that was the easy route? The easy route is what most these other players do in staying where they are, signing those huge deals with no expectations of winning or competing, easy route was Melo re-signing with the Knicks in 2012... KD took the HARD route dnt get it twisted

Being arguably the best player in the NBA and going to a 73 win team is not the hard way, I don't understand why this has to be explained to grown men that's been playing and watching sports there whole life. Do you know why he got crucified, do you understand why the fans turned on him? Because he went to a 73 win team that beat him in the playoffs the year before that. Its real simple if you understand competition. You beat your rivals you don't join them. He took a paycut on his NBA salary one time and hasn't taking any hits on endorsements. Yes I am one of those people that didn't respect his decision but I never wanted him to get injured.

whats crazy is

before he got hurt he was legitimately playing the best ball of his life outside of his first finals mvp performance

the run he was on from whe he was in the press conference after losing to the clips and said "I'm kevin durant" all the way up until the injury was so fu*kin incredible man

Easy way out?
Two different things.

It was definitely the easy way basketball wise, but the hard way in terms of his reputation.

If he had left and gone to, say, Portland - it wouldn't be the same. They had talent, but weren't anything resembling a threat. Hell, there were situations he could have gone to that would have been easier than trying to lead Portland, but not as easy as winning in GS would be. GS was the ultimate competitive no-no, especially considering they had JUST kicked his a*s.

How does a true competitor go join the team that humiliated by coming back from 3-1? An epic collapse and you go team with them? You get your wins, but there is no fu*king way you can think the public wouldn't be in an uproar.

If Lebron had beaten GS last year in the FInals, with the team he had, they would've annointed him GOAT, and I, a MAJOR Jordan fan, and a MAJOR Lebron hater, would have had to shut the fu*k up and concede that he was.

Why? It is human nature to respect the person who does A LOT with little, MORE than the person who does A LOT with A LOT.
