The Royole FlexPai is the sort of device that companies rush out when they feel the absolute imperative to be first with some new technology. I don’t blame Royole — a five-year-old company literally founded for the purpose of developing and selling flexible displays — because it faced the existential threat of Samsung coming in and stealing its thunder with a rival foldable device. So Royole hurriedly threw the FlexPai together and let the world gawk at its wondrous, foldable awfulness.

Device sounds like trash.

They either rushed this or their designers don't know what theyre doing lol. Way too thick and sloppy looking. The overall mechanics of it looks like it wouldn't even last 6 months without problems. When these foldable phones start to become more popular, these manufactures better make sure they do it right. Because if they don't, they're gonna lose alot of money. I dont think the foldable phone trend is gonna stick though. Just my opinion. Just like when 3d tvs dropped.

The tech reviewers I've seen look at this said it looked and felt cheap and made no sense.

Maybe it's just me but why do we need a phone like that for? What's the purpose?
