Q9’s are like the highest quality right now right? I think I was gonna get a q6 recently
I think the q8-9 are about the same, minor bs differences. If you can snag a q8, do it.

Cats better get smart. Never spend over a stack($1000) for a tv. It's not worth it. TV's are constantly being marked down all year.

Were you abused as a child?
Scared to smile? They called your TV ugly?
Well, life is harsh, hug me, don't reject me
Or make posts to disrespect me, blatant or indirectly

The price will reduce after time on the market. This tech is needed. It offers OLED picture quality without burn-in issues and has a much longer lifespan than OLED.
The burn in hype on LG OLEDS is bullsh*t. I've had 3 OLED tvs and never had a single issue. RTINGS just finished a year long burn in test and found there were hardly any issues except for one use case which was watching CNN for 2000+ hours straight:

These are anecdotal cases of older hardware at best. The newer models have much better burn in protection and the test i linked of them literally leaving the TVS on for an ENTIRE year show just that.

The early models had terrible burn in, but it has improved dramatically. Just because some ppl received sh*tty units, treated them even worse, and decided to make a youtube video doesn't mean there's an inherent problem for all of them

Some of those are from 2018 and 2017.

One is 2017 model from a damn LG event in 2018 that was showcasing OLEDs.

Doesn't matter if you experienced it or not. The fact is, I can post hundreds and hundreds of videos like the above all day. Organic LEDs have a limited shelf life. Facts don't change just because you don't believe them.

Did you even watch the videos you linked? Literally every single one of them are 2016-2017 models or later. Also that's not an LG booth.. it's the Nanosys booth which is partners with Samsung.. And they are intentionally showing off burn in as a dig at LG (their direct competitor)

But nonetheless, you are definitely right about the technology having issues and limited shelf life.. My original comment was saying the crazy hype of burn in is mostly blown out of proportion especially with newer models. Definitely not a big enough reason not to buy one

Does stuff have to broadcast a certain way to get the experience? I gotta 4k tv but you really can only tell when something is broadcast in 4k. Netflix had a package but I ended up canceling it cuz it was twice as much. I really aint even impressed with my 4k

My fault, I forgot to post the C8 burn-in video:

As I said, the burn-in issue isn't "bullsh*t" and will always be potential problem with OLEDs. You cannot get around it. Best thing to do, especially if you're a gamer, is to purchase a warranty when buying an OLED.
